Hilarious! I can't tell you how many buckets I have used as stools but I keep forgetting the pillow! Great to see you in a new studio! Been a while for me, too. I will send you some pics of what I've been up to. Be well, Simon!
Ah, Sensei, my Sensei, good to see you back on the wheel. Your teaching is so comforting and encouraging. Studio coming along very well, stove excellent. Love your hair and beard, by the way! D. built a Raku kiln, via your instructions, and we have fired twice now, with some good results the second time. KP! The firemen did not show up, so I guess it did not create a stir in the neighborhood! Just curiosity!
Hi Simon, I wish I could throw that well after a long no-wheel period!! I was given a few kilos of "porcelaine" and started to throw yesterday... quite different! Any tips or tricks on that ? All the best with your new studio, Florence.
"RESPECT!!! haha gotta show that mad gauge respect or you might get murdered!!" fun stuff that is, I'm not at all the "gangster" type...
I see exactly where your coming from, tough learning it is, I would throw a dozen cups or bowls and refuse to center them in anyway outside tap centering no matter if I broke each and everyone of them... when trimming that is, anyway didn't take me long to catch the hang of it!!!
Simon, I did a couple of those butter dishes you just aired. I am a beginner of over two years, I still do classes at local community college but have learned more just watching your tips and online classes. Thanks for the help. Had to elevate my wheel up closer to my waist. Back trouble...John in Payson, AZ
Hey man you should do a video and teach people chattering. Its like fluting but a little easier. sure you know about it. I discovered it on my own and my teacher said its chattering. i do it with all my pots now and it allways gives a neat even design.
and i like the new studio it looks alot more coozy.
DS.
Well, the first job is always a symbol of initiation. A ritual of opening the new studio that is never forgotten. This is the first 'word'. In this new era I wish you the best and prosperous success in your new place. I like a lot, like you're distributing the spaces in that garage. Useful and comfortable for all. I wish you good luck and peace. Your friend from Argentina. DS.

With you heating the water, it must be colder in your area of PA than our area. It's been quite warm - in the seventies here.
