Real New England Yankees are shit to deal with on the road.
On a two lane road your wife could be hemorrhaging in labor in the back seat and not one of these motherfuckers will get out of your way, short of shooting a canon at them.
They're also incredibly flinty in parking lots; they can go fuck themselves.
The imagery does not live up to the beauty of the song / lyrics--the essence of New England in the Fall is the leafage, landscapes, people and animal life. There is an abundance of excellent stock photography to do real justice to the music.
Thank you for putting this together. These are familiar scenes since I walk my dog in some of these spots and it's nice to see the beauty through someone else's eyes. Love Cheryl Wheeler and Fall !
Lovely photos, although the picture at 2:30 sure looks like spring in New England, not fall. First green grass in the pasture, buds swelling on the trees, no sign of leaves on the ground after a winter of snow and ice and wind.
I wish I grew up in New England, it looks so beautiful. You can't grow pumpkins where I am and most don't celebrate Halloween, bleh. At least I can still listen to Cheryl :-)
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. It brings back such sweet memories of when I was a little girl and my dad, sister and I would take autumn drives upstate NY. I can still taste the fresh corn, and feel the slight chill in the brisk fall air.
I haven't heard your voice since I left Massachusetts. Some things in life are definitely better, but there are things...like your voice, that I left behind and I always feel a winsome waft of nostalgia whenever I remember......
Thank you for posting this video. I love this song and the photo montage is wonderful! It reminds me of where I grew up in rural Pennsylvania where fall is a magical season. Again, thank you and I agree with Fogbuffy. We need more Cheryl Wheeler here.

this makes me miss where I grew up so much, October was so magical and colorful, and the winter so bleak. I love New England so much.

I remember on Thanksgiving 1996, WPRI-TV 12 used this song to end their newscast.

There's no place like New England in the Fall, especially Connecticut.

I miss living in Plainfield CT. Illinois just isn't the same.

Regards from Old Saybrook my friend. Plainfield was my old stomping grounds. Remember Ikey's pub maybe and the wonderful indoor flea market?
Best wishes to you and yours out in Illinois.
