On that day I turned on the TV to see THIS with my then husband, some friends & my ex-brother in law after hiking. We all stared, jaws hanging open. A couple of us kept repeating "Something about the wording on the screen is bugging me I can't stand it!" My ex-brother in law (the only one not our age) said, "Well, of course you dummies, it says 'Cobain dead at 27' & you're ALL 27!" A LOT has happened since then Good and bad. But A LOT It's so hard to believe it all stopped for him at only 27!
Heya. Great video. Thank you. Now, does anyone know what gig it was where they are dressed up in white shirts and waistcoats? I recognise everything else.
Every damn time i listen to Nirvana and read the comments there is always people arguing, i have an idea, SHUT THE FUCK UP AND JUST ENJOY THE MUSIC!!!! Makes sense right.
@darkstalker243 not to nit pick, but actually you were born in Frances Bean's generation. Example..I'm within weeks of Cobain's age, so I was born when the Beattles, etc..were producing and the "Summer of Love" was on the horizon. But that's not my generation. That is my mother's generation. It's all good..the music is forever to enjoy.

why is everybody getting offended that the uploader put a clip stating Kurts death? If you notice most of the clips and pictures are of him, its more like a tribute video since this is one of the last songs he was working on. Chill out guys.
@Howrsie13 His wife was a using c*** who deserved to be shot, do you realize that she got him into the use of heroin due to her warped perspective of reality, she also through years of twisting his mind and torturing the poor guy telling him he was never good enough and she wanted more - he love her and she used him and took advantage of it.
She can burn in h***. As for that man, rest him - his soul - misunderstood by even today's "standards". <3
@bmwd4000 If it make you feel any better, it does me anyhow, Love was trying to get out of the prenupt at the time of his death THIS is the kicker: guess who insisted on the prenupt? HER!!! @Howrsie13 He was sick. He was in constant pain. He had lost his identity. People were pulling him left and right, up and down. And prolonged use of any opiate can seriously fuck up your perception of life and your future. Maybe he just wanted to be a 27er. Maybe he was disgusted with himself, or us. But as it's said..." @Howrsie13 what happened that day??? he realised he could never have what he wanted, a family without argument, a marriage without similarities to his childhood, his lyrics portray this in every song giving you the "nirvana effect" kurt was AMAZING and a talented man, he went the way he wanted and left everyone with the pain of his death but his MUSIC :) RIP KURT FROM READING UK
@grunge6metal6queen6 Are you sure? maybe you are right. On sunday, January 30, 1994. Kurt Cobain walked into Robert Lang studios in northern Seattle and recorded the first song on this album (i don't know what it's called, it's black only..). It would be Kurt's final session with Nirvana. and he made it count, He was also late. Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl had been at Lang's for two days: waiting for Kurt, Using the time to fill tape with some of Dave's songs.
@horror4ever1997 But when Kurt finally showed up on the third day, with no particular explination, the real work was done in minutes.Nirvana had already performed ''You know you'r right'' in concert - on October 23, 1993. at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago - And fired it around in soundchecks that fall, under different names (''Autopilot.'' ''On a mountain.'')with touring guitarist Pat Smear. Strangely, Two nights after that Aragon show, Kurt practically denied even writing the song.
@horror4ever1997 ''I don't have any new songs right now.'' He told me. ''I have absolutley nothing left, im starting from scratch for the first time. I don't know what we are going to do.'' That Sunday at Lang's was Kurts first, formal recording date with Nirvana in nearly a year. since the In utero sessions with Steve Albini in February of '93. The band played all day but finished only this song.
@horror4ever1997 It was enough, Kurt, Krist and Dave, connected with a fierce telepathy, tearing through You know you'r right in one live take. Kurt then put down a few vocal tracks and a little extra guitar. There was no need for more. You know you'r right was a perfect storm. Consummated with prophetic that sounds a lot like joy. the kind you get when a band has it's whipped-raw back to wall but plenty fuck you left, ready to fly. You could drown in the black rains of distortion and sarcasm
@horror4ever1997 : Things have never been so swell/And i have never been so well. We know that everything was wrong and getting worse.. But you can live in this noice too: in Kurt's prayer-bell harmonics. plucked from behind the bridge of his guitar in monastery echo; in spears of feedback and the saving blaze of the chorus, where Kurt belts and holds the word Pain in one long murderous breath; in the bortherly lock of Krist*s marching bass and Dave's fighting drums
@horror4ever1997 I know this myth is corroborated by the text on the inner sleeve of the posthumous album but Kurt does not sing the word PAIN on that song; Kurt's original vocals striped from the instrumentals can be found right here on youtube and it gets very clear that he doesn't say PAIN at any time.
Theis song has always been to me the end of Nirvana and Kurt, together with Sappy this are the epic songs what shows the real nirvana not Smells like teen spirit!
Whoever uses Courtney Love as a scapegoat is on completely the wrong track.. It's like the "Ring" Trilogy (I've only seen the original Japanese versions). But yeah, anyway the finger pointing can go on forever. You just have to listen to Kurt Cobain's favourite song "Seasons in the Sun" to know who's responsible for him feeling suicidal. We need to fight the monster in each of us, and be the stars to be reached for; and also, we need to look after the innocent eyes and the Natural World more.
@mattenemu this song aint on any album you can get it on the nirvana icon cd it has their greatest hits on it or you can get it from the nirvana with the lights out box set
@undc777 I ment the live version . I have alot of Nirvana albums , but would be cool to listen to the other tracks from what bootleg or whatever this livetrack is from .. Also known as . The eagle has landed . But mainly known and titled as You know youre right..
i believe courtney love murdered him when she injected 3 times the lethal dose of herion in him and stole his credit card "cobaincase" search on google
@anne1000001 when I see miley cyrus perform smells like teen spirit, it makes me glad that this piece of shit generation doesn't know jack shit about great music
@anteracmacash why it makes you glad?-i saw miley cyrus perform it and i didnt really liked it-but one thing sure is good about it that at least some people hear and remember music like this for next generations
@anne1000001 no it makes me fucking pissed that a shitty attention whore like her takes a piss on Kurts legacy by performing a song that stands against her entire fucking career
@anteracmacash i don't think that you should take it that seriously - she sang this song because she likes it and wanted to share this with her fans at the concert...i think that is not bad at all - some of us don't like her including me(i really don't like her music) but that doesn't mean we need to stop her to sing :)
@anne1000001 have you ever asked your self why she claims to "like" the song? or have you ever asked your self why there are no nirvana songs in car commercials?? cause overexposing the band to things that go against what the band stood for is really nothing more then pissing on it's legacy
@anteracmacash no i didnt ask myself why she likes it because i dont care-if she likes it then im glad for her and i dont see in her singing the song as something that go against what the band stood for or something that will be pissing on it's legacy
@anne1000001 in my honest opinion, nobody can cover teen spirit, and the fact that miley cyrus covered it, i dont even want to hear it, it would literally torture my ear lol
@nihongeorge just search youtube "justin bieber kurt cobain" , i didnt search it though, it is one of the news that got big back then, because most rock fans were angry lol
@MetalTurkishRock just because Kurt hated homophobics doesn't mean his fans have to hate them too.For example, he hated brushing his teeth, do you? If you dont hate brushing your teeth, your not a real fan... just saying.
@MetalTurkishRock huh? you didn't make any sense... "Kurt said if you hate homophobics, don't buy my album and I hate you" you just fucking contradicted yourself and I'm fucking dumb?
@MrCobainfan häää? you charge Dylan Carlson, that he killed Kurt ...somewhere else, and then you wrote you only meant it, cause Dylan bought the gun for Kurt, but you have got nothing to do with a murder theory - you supported exactly in the conspiracy of a murder theory...and a wrong too. i mean, we all don´t know the truth at all. but maybe you should do your homework better, before you claim somebody killed someone. That´s rude and not o.k.peace....
@MrCobainfan and you should better read: Who Killed Kurt Cobain?: The Mysterious Death of a Icon: The Mysterious Death of an Icon from Ian Halperin and Max Wallace & read more bout Tom Grant here on youtube, myspace or fb.peace & empathy
:/ thanks for fuckin nothin you had to go ahead an put a news report of his death then put the last NIRVANA song what the fuck where you thinking you moron
@NirvanaLovable early years of the band, end of 80's Chad must be playing drums there. But if you mean the real long and shiny yellow 1 its just a wig :D
being in seattle my whole life. its like seattle forgot this ever happend. when i found out seattle used to be the center of the universe i was absolutley shocked. Because so many of the people in that scene, famous and not, died. its like they didnt exist. Like story book characters. You wish they were real, but they arnt, no matter how hard you try to make them.
What a wonderful man, he was. RIP Kurt Cobain. I hope it's quiet, and serene wherever you are now. Just a soft atmosphere for you to remain undisturbed.
Mr. Cobain: you were one of the rare genuine human beings.
@rickt16- Sorry, didn't mean to offend anyone. Just a saying we used to use (without harmful intent) in the 90's. Guess I'm a little too old to break the habit... I do apologize though!
@rickt16 get over it, society needs to understand that words like fag and gay are acceptable adjectives to describe something that is completely retarded/dumb
@BIGxBOSSxx1- I followed Nirvana almost since day one (yeah, Im that old) and I'm sorry you took the comment out of context. In the 90's the word "gay" was used to describe something lame or stupid, we use it today to take the sting off of it. That way when some throw-back uses the word it doesn't carry any weight.I have the same problem with AIC,people calling Duvall a "nigger."Layne hated racists, and AIC was originally a speed metal band that dressed in drag! Didn't mean to offend anyone.

As long as we love Kurt and Krist.....as long as there are people who loves Nirvana, this band is alive!
I hope Nirvana will never die. May be they will save rock one more time, when there won't be real rock groups anymore...

I dont get it.
Kurt hated people who hates gay people and the comment says f-n gay.
Not real fans...
MetalTurkishRock 2 months ago
@MetalTurkishRock Some people don't mean gay as in homosexual they just use it for say meaning lame, no intent behind it.

@MattCFC300
I know, but I think its not good to do that.
MetalTurkishRock 2 months ago
@MetalTurkishRock just because Kurt hated homophobics doesn't mean his fans have to hate them too.For example, he hated brushing his teeth, do you? If you dont hate brushing your teeth, your not a real fan... just saying.
buzzkill2009 1 month ago
@buzzkill2009
That's not the same asshole.
Kurt said if you hate homophbics, dont buy my album and I hate you.
You are fuckin dumb seriously.
MetalTurkishRock 1 month ago
@MetalTurkishRock huh? you didn't make any sense... "Kurt said if you hate homophobics, don't buy my album and I hate you" you just fucking contradicted yourself and I'm fucking dumb?
...nothing else should be said by you to me...
goodbye.

Kurt was murdered.... I think...... By Dylan Carlson.
MrCobainfan 2 months ago
@MrCobainfan i think too, that something weird happened - but not Dylan Carlson killed him....somewhere else.
catinhas77 2 months ago
@catinhas77 I mean I say that cause he bought Kurt the shotgun and never supported the murder theory.
MrCobainfan 2 months ago
@MrCobainfan häää? you charge Dylan Carlson, that he killed Kurt ...somewhere else, and then you wrote you only meant it, cause Dylan bought the gun for Kurt, but you have got nothing to do with a murder theory - you supported exactly in the conspiracy of a murder theory...and a wrong too. i mean, we all don´t know the truth at all. but maybe you should do your homework better, before you claim somebody killed someone. That´s rude and not o.k.peace....
catinhas77 2 months ago
@MrCobainfan and you should better read: Who Killed Kurt Cobain?: The Mysterious Death of a Icon: The Mysterious Death of an Icon from Ian Halperin and Max Wallace & read more bout Tom Grant here on youtube, myspace or fb.peace & empathy

@MrCobainfan i think it was a conspiracy. Illuminati killed him. damn illuminati.

being in seattle my whole life. its like seattle forgot this ever happend. when i found out seattle used to be the center of the universe i was absolutley shocked. Because so many of the people in that scene, famous and not, died. its like they didnt exist. Like story book characters. You wish they were real, but they arnt, no matter how hard you try to make them.

ididcramsmom 4 months ago 32
@ididcramsmom why fucking gay why not saying fucking stoopid xD
rickt16 2 months ago
@rickt16- Sorry, didn't mean to offend anyone. Just a saying we used to use (without harmful intent) in the 90's. Guess I'm a little too old to break the habit... I do apologize though!
ididcramsmom 2 months ago
@rickt16 get over it, society needs to understand that words like fag and gay are acceptable adjectives to describe something that is completely retarded/dumb
randallhump1 2 months ago
@randallhump1 society sucks and i dont want to be part of it
rickt16 2 months ago
@ididcramsmom If you were a true Nirvana fan you'd know Kurt hated homophobic people.. Dumbass.
BIGxBOSSxx1 2 months ago
@BIGxBOSSxx1- I followed Nirvana almost since day one (yeah, Im that old) and I'm sorry you took the comment out of context. In the 90's the word "gay" was used to describe something lame or stupid, we use it today to take the sting off of it. That way when some throw-back uses the word it doesn't carry any weight.I have the same problem with AIC,people calling Duvall a "nigger."Layne hated racists, and AIC was originally a speed metal band that dressed in drag! Didn't mean to offend anyone.
