@hallboyvideo Hey! Not sure really to be honest! I think that must have been to reinforce what I was saying and getting him to focus on me. He was clearly a somnambulist and went very deep indeed.
@pompompomist Thanks for the comment! Not showing off at all, we got chatting and he wanted to experience hypnosis, he asked me. I always sure that my 'subjects' feel much much better after the session than previously with positive, energising suggestions for the rest of the day. The subconscious mind controls every nerve, muscle and fibre of your body and it's a pleasure to show people what THEY can achieve by tapping into it. The guy here enjoyed the experience and thanked me afterwards.
@pompompomist Hi. Not showing off at all mate. I asked this guy if he wanted to experience hypnosis and he agreed and volunteered. What wasn't showed on this video (and something I always do) is left the guy with LOTS of positive suggestions and made sure sure he left me in a happier, more energised state than when he met me. I'm now using hypnosis for therapy and to remove phobias for people, but will always give them some sort of 'mini show' as a convincer, so they know something's happened.
Darren !!! You are so clever - can you do me so I hate chocolate, like flying, not fancy Jeff Goldblum anymore and stop asking for Chris Tarrant impressions ?
Darren, you are nothing short of brilliant. I love your patter--so supportive and encouraging while still guiding your subject. It is clear these boys are enjoying themselves just as much as you are! BRAVO!
Thanks you so much for your kind words, coincidentally I found your vids yesterday and started watching them. Small world! Out of interest, how did you find me?
Regarding the encouragment, I have learned that people can be a bit freaked out by what's happening to them, with amnesia etc, so reasurring them is all part of it. Also giving them an incentive to do something helps too: "When you do X, it feels fantastic" or "the more you do X, the better you'll feel"
Yes, Darren, I agree entirely. Support is essential. I loved how you told Paul that his hand was not levitating because he was pretending, but because he wanted to have that experience and enjoy it. Well done!
I happened upon your videos when another YouTube member subscribed to my channel--and lo and behold, your video was among his favorites. Small world indeed!
And yes, the reward aspect can be extremely powerful. You can get people do do just about anything you suggest as long as they receive gratification from doing it.
We are simple animals on a subconscious level aren't we?
Darren, not only are you a great drummer, but a great hypnotist! When you offered him the money, I was laughing out loud!
