Osgood took a poke at a player sppeeding in for a late hit, and it was at O if you watch the clip, not 1 second. Ribeiro is just as cheap as Osgood. So this argument is stupid. Its one thing to want the game to be pure and free from cheap shots, its another to act like they dont happen on a regular basis. Also Osgood was trying to impede Ribeiro the hit to the face probably was an accident. Taking a poke at someone and deliberately trying to hurt them is two different things.

Take a look at the eye contact. His eyes were on Rafalski all the way. Just because you don't think he hits doesn't mean that was his intention. Going down 2-0 frustrates teams (take a look at Pittsburgh in the finals).

I think Osgood should have stood up for himself and went after him.

Osgood's dive didn't start anything. Ribiero's slash did. If he's got a problem, be a man and take it out on him next game by scoring. Slashing the goalie in the chest is going to get you in big trouble with the league and the players.

Osgood should get a 2min penalty for that. He was trying protect his captain from an unnecesary check at the end of the game. Chances are he wasn't aiming for Ribero's face either.
