  • Every single room where this song played was a pain in the ass.

  • This version of castlevania is the best one.....

  • thumbs up if this needs to be remade for the wii or dsi man this game was such a epic game

  • @Jacobezmoney dude fuck yes fuck yes fuck yes

  • @EmperorKyuu60 cause this game had the freaking dragon zombies God crap also death two bad m fers on that game

  • @Jacobezmoney dude, I fucking hated those zombie dragons.. they were more of a pain in the ass than both forms of Dracula, I think

  • @Jacobezmoney dude, I had a lvl 96 Vampirekiller that could fuck the hell out of Dracula's shit... I only had to hit him 3 times to get him to charge at me :D

  • The Belmont family needs to do Something about edward cullen.

  • @TheScorpionMK37

Bwahaha! You capitalized Something but not Edward Cullen. This man has his priorities straight.

  • @Duskwither True dat! XD

  • @TheScorpionMK37 Goddamn copyrights.

  • CotM was a great game eclipsed by AoS popularity T_T

  • @DrCowenstein it wasn't eclipsed to us fans :)

  • @DrCowenstein To be honest, i'd even choose HoD over CotM in terms of gameplay. But when it comes down to music, CotM wins. :p

  • BLOODY SWORDS.

    EVERYWHERE.

  • @Zakuzelo All worth it for the Mars card though!

  • I don't understand why this game isn't loved as much as it should be. It's long, it's difficult, it has great music. I love CotM. And I love this song <3

  • @xGolbezx

The level design can be monotonous, sadly...

  • @xGolbezx Agreed, it's really the only game in the metroidvania style that has some challenge to it. This was the first game I bought when getting the GBA and was blown away. The quality of that prayer-style intro music was just unfathomably better than anything on the original Gameboy.

  • @bobmortock wow. CotM was my first game on the GBA too when i got one. lmao. nice

  • this was my favorite castlevania game... one of the most challenging and great replay value and the music is great... oh and the enemies looked cool in this one

  • @Andy345345345345

And then...after beating that fucking thing... all you get is a potion and activate a stupid switch, one of the things that really made me ''ALL OF THAT FOR JUST THIS!!!'' when I first played the game several years ago :V

  • This was where the game stops joking around and actually starts to present quite a challenge.

  • Aaah, this brings back memories. Syphony of the Night of course is better. But all Castlevania games...except for slightly Judgment are my favs!

  • Dear Lord: Kill me if I ever have to hear this music again. I hate this motherfucking stage...

  • since there is no such thing as classical music now a days (well at least not that i know of) i listen to videogame music for that instrumental epic feel that can only be captured in an orchestral manner.

  • This game was a great showcase for what the GBA's sound system could do.

  • I hated those fucking flying swords and marionettes that littered the path. This heavy-handed waltz didn't make things much easier!

  • hey PrinceRoy1990 yeah me too, CotM was my favorite and frist castlevania game

  • Does anyone know what the song is called in the abyss staircase? That song's awesome.

  • I think thats The Sinking Old Sanctuary.

    I could be wrong though..

  • Oh yeah that's the one. Thanks.

  • OMG this game was so simple yet SO AWESOME!!!!

  • You say simple, but truth be told, Konami probably worked their asses off trying to pull off the Castletroid formula that Symphony of the Night was using. To put this in a 16-bit handheld title, as a launch, while also being an overall great game was nothing short of amazing.

  • Awesome but noy my favorite chapel theme that belongs to Castlevania Chronicles' rendition of Bloody Tears.

  • Comment removed

  • Damn COTM has such an epic spundtrack, thx for uploading.

  • I believe this is the music that plays in the chapel, but listen to the part between 0:13 to 0:23: it's so FREAKY! It feels like either you're underwater or your vision starts to blur after hypoxia.

I actually like this chapel music better than the AoS chapel music now that I heard it.

  • Yeah, CotM has definately better tracks than AoS. AoS had a few good ones..but tracks like Aquarius, Proof of Blood, Fate to Despair and especially Awake...these tracks remind me of the good music from Simons's Quest :)

  • isn't this chapel tower soundtrack?

  • The COtM soundtrack will forever be one of the best -in the world-. To me and to many else, I am sure.

And this is the best of the best.

The depth is incredible for a GBA game!!!

  • They are both excellent. But I have a special relationship to Circle of the Moon! :)

  • Harmony of Dissonance is one of the o

worst castlevania games in history >=(

  • Funny, that statement has no actual objective basis in reality. It's only actual flaws are a slightly shallower (but still very workable) physics engine and difficulty.

The music is excellently composed and the instrumentation fits it better then anything else could have; the graphics are well done and well animated and all convey exactly what they were trying to do. Keep in mind of course, that the graphics were intentionally somewhat brighter and more vibrant in order to compensate for cotm

  • you have a good point, actually is not a bad game but you can find another Castlevania more funny

  • After I finally beat it after years (I was 12 back then and couldn`t speak english. So I didn`t know what I have to do to unlock all the barriers xD) I really liked it though. I still prefer the GBA Castlevanias over the Nintendo DS ones. I`ve never played one of the old original Castlevanias though. Circle of the Moon was my first one and still my most fav.

  • @PrinceRoy1990

Is a badass game and my second castlevania, is funny and hard as hell

  • so you didn't like maxim mode or simon mode in the boss rush mode

  • I never play tha modes because i never finish the game, maybe sometime

  • harmony of dissonance is actually a really good game there are far worst castlevania games.

  • well not so good, is like a copy of SOTN but with bad grafics and a poor history.

Castlevania Judgment and Simon quest are more bad but with cool ideas

  • dude what castlevania game now in days is not copying SOTN.

  • well but a copy of the gameplay, not the game and the history himself (like HOD but actually i didnt finish the game i leave my adventure when death say "theres 2 castles" in that moment i say ohh screw the game")

  • @GamerM28

Dude what Castlevania now a days isn't copying Metroid :V!

  • lol i'll get back to you on that one

  • Adramalech was bloody hard...

  • yea....took me easily 7 tries to beat him

  • This is like one of my favorite songs ever. Amazing drumming, great harmonics. I was 11 when this game came out and i remember being blown away by the presentation. Listen to it with headphones and appreciate the depth.

  • I love this fuckin shit. Listen to this on headphones and appreciate every note, it's amazing for a GBA launce title. I was 11 at the time, can you imagine hearing this shit. God the drumming is so sick.

  • I hate those sword enemies that fly and spin in the air

  • This song made me made in the chaple...I died so much there....but aleast I had fun..btw I'm a girl and I love this game the whole thought of vampires makes me smile.

  • There are a lot of stupid comments on this page. This song is one of the best in the game.

  • i hated this boss for this stage but love the song pretty ockward lol

  • Grrr... everytime I hear this song I think of that Chapel Tower boss, Adramalech. That damn ram head thingamajig took me like, five months to beat. GOD! I'm traumatized.

  • dis song is like for warriors fighting in da battle arena lol idk dis is wat dis song is saying to me lol in my head

  • lol

  • learn2spell

  • learn to use spaces....BITCH!

  • lol ya

  • i was surprised the gba could nail these harp notes

  • Even more impressive when you consider how Circle of the Moon was a GBA launch title and all. Kudos, Konami.

  • Man, I would LOVE to hear a remix of this in a future Castlevania game.

  • EmpireZ0S0, I'd like to second that proposition....and third it!
