Diphenhydramine (A.K.A. Benadryl) is not bad. VTB apparently uses it for sleep.

It's not pleasant, lasts a while, helps to induce vivid nightmares, and whereas ambien and Benzos will just make you pass out (Ambien can make you hallucinate a bit), diphenhydramine can be hell without necessarily making you pass out or blank out. My skin looks torn up, bloody, deformed, etc. when I take way too many, among lots of other distortions.

3.75mg of zopiclone (related) makes me feel mildly relaxed. Good, but mild. 7.5mg makes me feel relaxed and sleepy and my imagination becomes vivid (mild dreamy visuals) 15mg turns me into a retard. I took it, played halo 3, and when it kicked in I barely knew what was going on and just sat there doing nothing, but once it started wearing off it was pretty cool. Oddly, taking 15mg didn't give me the visuals that I got from 7.5mg. BTW I don't have a tolerance to the drug.

Oh it does. I can speak from personal experience. It's reversible, what it does is mess with your amount of choligen which controls your ability to think linearly. So you can get a two month hangover in large dosages. That means 2 months of feeling like shit, depression, inability to think clearly/benign confusion. Hangover sucks, high sucks unless you're like me and enjoy the dysphoria and whatnot you get off of deleriants.

Temazepam is a good sleep aid I think - obviously you have to avoid alcohol and driving too. All these medications are far more controlled in the UK than they were. Zopiclone/Lunesta seems to be popular here as the 'official' sleeping pill. Diazepam works well for me sometimes, it can be quite good as you know. The Valium type drugs are the ones I've taken the most of. All can be addicting.
