  • hello, why we exclude the first 10 adresses ?

  • @swimmerboxer Mostly to show exclusion, but its also a good practice. Reserving address for other equipment that will not be dynamically assigned.

i m looking for what is default routing and when we should configure it and how

and wht is route summerization + how to config ...

    f possible please upload

    hope for possitive response

  • Within packet tracer once you have configured the router is there a way to save it so that you can use it again with the settings already configured?

  • @dashby1969 Click on the device you want to save the config for, select the Config Tab. Under that you will see the export buttons beside the "Start and Running config". Clicking this will bring up a dialog that will allow you to save the config file.

To re-apply the config to a device you just need to do a merge or load. If you copy it to the startup, you should only have to power cycle the device for the config to load.

  • Great tutorial, I have been going through tutorials on this all night yours was the first that was easy to understand and a good recording, thanks

  • great video but i have a question at school we always connect the router to the switch using a consule cable , dose it matter if we used the counsle or a Ethernet ?

  • Great video man, I'm currently in the CCNA program at my college and this will help a lot on the skills exam. Keep 'em coming.

  • @TDW206

Great video. I’m 17 and started using Cisco PT a few hours ago and wondered how to set up the DHCP. This explains it just the way it should be explained. Nothing unneeded and just to the point.

    Everything explains itself. :)

  • I just started with CCNA last week, and being fairly inexperienced with Cisco from before, I'm grateful people like you show us some of the basics. I had to watch the script portion of your vid a few times because as people say it did go fast, but as you say, we can rewind. So thanks for this little guide, very handy for smaller network setups :)

  • Great video! Thanks!

  • Nice video but too fast. You assume everybody is at your speed and you are just showing off.

  • @skatamous Its a video, you can rewind it.

  • @TDW206 YES.. that's true!! but you should explain those router config commands and slow down !! Or atleast list them in the decription.

  • @skatamous This is a video to explain the process for setting up DHCP, I did not create this video to teach you everything you need to know about the IOS.

  • Lovely video...Enjoyed it.

  • wow,..,.,kalabad ani oi.,.,

  • nice i am from venezuela..!! good video certificado CCNA

  • Amazing, I loved this. More please!?!?!?! :P

  • Jesus you make it look so easy!!! We have just been doing DHCP this semester at uni. We're using PT but then doing it on the real Cisco kit! Crikey its hard!

Nihincarnation - made a good point I made the same mistake last year !!

Good work on the vid...but any chance of slowing down..Thanks

  • I agree with the other comments, this video is really helpful! Thank you for putting this up!
