Is there a way of doing this all in the config instead of the CLI? Its impossible to remember all the commands.. and btw.. where can u find all these commands? Is there a list somewhere?
hi sir.! tnx a lot for this vids.. it will help a lot of cisco geeks out der.. but just wanna raise a question here.. what is the "ip dhcp pool IP10" for? && y do we need to exclude some ip adds? tnx sir.. im just a begginner.. :D
very good video man, its short, easy to understand, very clear, I think is the best packet tracer video ive ever seen, im gonna try that myself. Anyway, thanks for posting this, it really helped me!
@dashby1969 Click on the device you want to save the config for, select the Config Tab. Under that you will see the export buttons beside the "Start and Running config". Clicking this will bring up a dialog that will allow you to save the config file.
To re-apply the config to a device you just need to do a merge or load. If you copy it to the startup, you should only have to power cycle the device for the config to load.
great video but i have a question at school we always connect the router to the switch using a consule cable , dose it matter if we used the counsle or a Ethernet ?

Great video. I’m 17 and started using Cisco PT a few hours ago and wondered how to set up the DHCP. This explains it just the way it should be explained. Nothing unneeded and just to the point.
I just started with CCNA last week, and being fairly inexperienced with Cisco from before, I'm grateful people like you show us some of the basics. I had to watch the script portion of your vid a few times because as people say it did go fast, but as you say, we can rewind. So thanks for this little guide, very handy for smaller network setups :)
@skatamous This is a video to explain the process for setting up DHCP, I did not create this video to teach you everything you need to know about the IOS.
Jesus you make it look so easy!!! We have just been doing DHCP this semester at uni. We're using PT but then doing it on the real Cisco kit! Crikey its hard!
Nihincarnation - made a good point I made the same mistake last year !!
Good work on the vid...but any chance of slowing down..Thanks

hello, why we exclude the first 10 adresses ?
swimmerboxer 2 months ago
@swimmerboxer Mostly to show exclusion, but its also a good practice. Reserving address for other equipment that will not be dynamically assigned.

Within packet tracer once you have configured the router is there a way to save it so that you can use it again with the settings already configured?
