  • What a beautiful eyes !!! Thank you for sharing :))

  • Thank you for sharing, my friend.

    Namaste.

    blessings and wonder,

    CG

  • Jai Guru

  • What a beautiful man... inside and out.

  • @apollokrishna And all around!...being a fully enlightened Master he is no longer the egoistic personality trapped in the body and mind, but he is only identified with the all Pervasive Consciousness, and the is the true nature of the Guru, and is also our fundamental nature too.

  • What does Paramhansa Yogananda mean?

  • @yesinfinity Paramhansa means "supreme swan," and is based on the swan being equally at home on land or water. Similarly, the true sage is equally at home in the realms of matter and of spirit. Yogananda means bliss of yoga.

  • @yesinfinity Cult Leader

  • @SuperNaitch1 He was one of the most positively transforming forces this world has ever seen. His presence healed and lifted so many people out of suffering. So we cannot equate 'cult' here with anything negative. He may have been a leader, but he only lead people towards the highest good. You could try reading his ‘Auto biography of a Yogi’, it’s utterly life changing.

  • @yesinfinity Yogananda is rooted in two Sanskrit words, 'yoga' means 'union' & 'ananda' means 'bliss' so Yogananda mean 'blissful union (with God)'. Paramhansa was a honorific title given to him by his Master Sri Yukteswarji to signify his exalted spiritual state after attaining Realisation. ‘Para’ means ‘great’ or ‘supreme’ and ‘hansa’ mean ‘swan’. Swan here is a metaphor for freedom, so ‘Paramhansa’ can translate as ‘supreme freedom’ as it denotes his high level of Enlightenment.

  • @yesinfinity Also if you have not read his 'Autobiography of a Yogi' I would highly recommend it. It’s literally a life changing book.

  • Such a joy seeing a Master looking at me like this. I feel him right beside me, helping me to succeed in my spiritual journey. Thank you for this beautiful video. I love You Master!

  • Help! Love.........

  • If you look at him you can feel what goodness really is.

  • i love yogananda. such a wonderful, spiritual leader. full of wisdom and love.

  • Truly beautiful - The eyes of the Master indeed exude divine love. Premavatar, Paramahansa Yoganandaji - verily an "incarnation of Divine Love"

  • Y R NONE PRESEINT 2DAY???...WE NEED THEM NOW!!!!....OH LORD SEND US A DR.KING, GHANDI, YOGANANDA 2DAY!!!!..2MANY DEVILS IN DISGUISE!!!

  • linda imagem do mestre Yogananda!

  • Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!.............those two twinkling eyes........appear like mother's lap..luving, serene, blessing n like a calm refuge for a bewildered traveler of this world....:)

  • @niyaami yeah, awesome and awesome unfathomable loving eyes you dont come across these days. like einstein said of gandhi, swamiji's disciple, generations to come will scarce believe that such a person has ever walked the earth!

  • oh master............ my master

  • @baliraam Yeah it’s hard to believe that such beings come to this world only to lift us up out of our own self-created pain & suffering. Most people cannot accept something so genuine and selfless. Amma is probably the best living example we have around today.

  • thank you very much++ Aum shanti^^

  • He came to the West to explain Christ to the Christians.

I think he did a great job.

  • @eastariel Very good comment...

  • @greenthumbguy1 Thanks. I have some of his books, including, "How to Be Happy All the Time." He's a great teacher.

  • Thank you so much for creating such a tasteful video of one of the most sentient human beings I have ever encountered. What wonderful eyes and smile - touched my heart so deeply and made me cry throughout it all like I haven't cried in a long time... Thank you and Swami Kriyananda again and thanks to your beloved Gurudev for sharing so generously God's Grace with us all.

  • This man's Autobiography of a Yogi changed my life and confirmed so much of what I already knew~! :)

  • I love Sri Paramahansa Yogananda's book, "How to be Happy All the Time." He makes some really good and true points, and they really work.

  • Awsome :)

  • We are all gurus ,we just have to connect. EASY TO SAY HARD TO DO.

  • I resist gurus generally but looking at Paramahansa's face in these numerous photos, the level of peace and acceptance and the beauty that emanates from it, brought tears to my eyes. Not tears from dogma or self-promotion but from clear spirituality clearly and simply projected and lived. Thank you for these!

  • How magnificent. Thank, thank you...Thank you.

  • beautifuñ... thanks for sharing ..send my love fromargentina :) Su

  • Paramahamsa is one to whom I would be like. So serene, charming, peaceful, happy. The example of divine emanation on the Earth.

Aum Namaha Shivaya Ocean Love for ever

  • swami kriyananda i love you so much for this music!! it takes enormous love to make music like this i know guruji! hats off from an ordinary man.

  • is there room in this divine space for all the imperfection we must live with. Or is the object to love the imperfection

    .

  • Thank you,I Love Guruji... as I was watching I was reminded of Lord Krishna, in the sense that he was beautiful...and to my eyes...like the lord they appear sort of androgynous...it struck me that they have never identified themselves with the body, and that this is a sign of a very high manifestation of I am or creation or God or some other term that signifies the One. That his picture alone could spark this thought....well it,s pretty obvious that the Paramahansa is still accessible

  • this video made me cry ! The song and the images are very deep ! Is hard to me talk of the Master without cry of emotion !!!!

When I had an brain aneurysm , I stayed 32 in coma, so , I truly saw the great Master Saint Germain and the great Master Yogananda together another Masters... few moments later I woke up, for my parent's happyness !

    Blessed Be Master Yogananda !!!

  • Guruji, please help us become Masters of our own selves.

  • guruji i know u are always aroun me , well i know its my time to enter within u , i love u , u r the only truth i know , i love u so much , hold me always .

  • Many interesting people have passed. But it is He, with whom I'd like to get acquainted or just have a talk during this life. It's impossible alas.

  • QUANTA GIOIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AUM

  • A true master who will live on in all of our minds, hearts and souls until we pass on to the other side. That is when we will meet him

  • let the world unite to share and support , like one country , let not boundaries stop us, let not ignorance challenge us, let not war motivate us, let not hatred guide us..but may the divine happiness bless us..

..let us not be hungry for worldly desires, for worldly desires are so temporary, let us bask in the happy light of wisdom..............................

  • Bowing at His feet! So wonderfully embraced by his love and guidance. There are no words that can express my appreciation for His presence in my life. ... Love the music, only a soul deeply in love can create this heart warming hymn to the Master. Jai, Jai Guru!

  • Oh Beloved !

  • Exquisitely comforting and beautiful ..... thanks for posting this!

  • most lovin' eyes I ever did look into ~ or did he look into mine!

  • Thank you so much for posting these rare images of Yogananda- I discovered his writings/works about two years ago and I'm so thankful I found them. He was an individual of incredible inner-strength, dedicating his life as an "incarnation of love" to the entire world- recognizing the Truth in all beliefs. I'm still fasinated by this heaven sent individual. Blessingings to you, Paramahansa!

  • The transition of the pictures from 0:22 to 0:24 was really nice.

  • Indian saints make an effort to integrate all religions. That is why India has welcomed every faith that has come to its land and seen no conflict with their own faith!

  • thank you for this moving video. No surprise He is wearing a Cross, He always prayed: " Saints of all religions, I bow to you all" and he commented splendidely in

    "the second coming of Christ".

    God bless you all.

    J.L. Québec City, Can.

  • very beautiful, thank you. Does the picture at 1:22 show Paramhansa Yogananda wearing a cross? i cant quiet tell

  • @zhenyame Yes. He's wearing a cross at 2:17 as well.

  • @AnandaWorldwide ~ He did believe in Jesus

  • @ou8one2forme : he believed in GOD and I assume that every religion believes in the existence of GOD. Hence, he believed in every religion..

  • @ashutoshpanwar ~ I agree ;0)

  • @ashutoshpanwar no, God is not religion, God is a higher state of consciousness, and each religion has a high awareness, but have limiting beliefs and leave no advance in spirituality, only to a point that religions have their interest for control, God is a state of spiritual awareness universal ,and religion is just a higher state of consciousness that has a limit and that limit is that religion makes.

  • @AnandaWorldwide ~ He did believe in Jesus ~ Not that I am being "preachy" here ;0)

  • @zhenyame Yes, Paramahansa recognized the truth in all beliefs. He frequently quoted Jesus from the New Testament as well as ancient Hindu scripture. Start with the books "Autobiography Of A Yogi" and "Where There Is Light" for the best introductions on his teachings.

  • @zhenyame hehehehe, he had to make a fortune in a country of christians hence had to wear a cross... when there were enough amount of people struggling with problems in his homeland, at that time he was enjoying his peak of his career in a country like US.

  • @zhenyame Yes, he was deeply devoted to Christ, though in itself the cross is also a powerful symbol. Kind of off-topic, but still of interest: his chief disciple, Rajarshi Janakananda, also sometimes wore a cross.

  • @zhenyame at 555 definitely...

  • @zhenyame and 6.41 too, anyway most of the time :)

  • My guide, my protector and my beloved.

Mi guia, mi protector, y mi amado.

  • Salve amado Guru, sua Luz ainda nos guia...

  • I am savoring the book "Autobiography of a Yogi" I am just sad that I didn't know about him before now. What a beautiful human being.

  • Wonderful Master. ¡OM NAMAHA SHIVAYA!

  • he is a gem.....

  • Amongst an Eden we all could live if mankind were to emulate the example of this Great Soul!

  • @hsoliz < Perhaps, path of mankind is to individuate to as many possible ways so that, we have no desire left for this physical plane and five senses.

In a way, we are all connected through the fabric of space/time. Separation is an illusion. And all is just an experience. You know it, I'm just reminding :)

  • You show me the way. Now I follow you.

  • Thank you for posting these photos! What a beautiful way to start my morning.

  • Beautiful)

  • Thank You. Jai Guru Paramhansa Yogananda jai jai jai!

  • I am just reading the ' autobioraphy of an YOGI " ...Thanks for this vedio...very precious things to the world..

  • beautiful. thankyou.

  • he looks like he has hidden agendas...both good and maybe even bad 0_o

  • I'm so thankful to have discovered this rare footage- something told me to search "Yogananda" here on youtube. I discovered his works about 3 years ago("Autobiography Of A Yogi"/"Man's Eternal Quest") and was simply blown away by what I was reading. The enigma is that an Indian spritural teacher came to this country in the early 20th century to teach true Christian principals to a "Christian" nation. The light of his smile was beautiful- always a look of love.

  • beautiful

  • Jai Paramhansaji, jai Kriyanandaji!

Who is the devotee at Guruji's right hand side at 2:12?

Thank you for sharing this precious video, with many pictures of Paramhansaji I have not seen before.

  • Rajarsi Janakananda. He was one of Master's most advanced disciples and the second president of SRF.

  • Thank you. I wondered, but wished somebody to confirm this for me.

  • Rajarsi was the reincarnation of Sahadeva, the Pandu brother of Arjuna, who PY was in his past life.

  • How do you know this? Did Master say it?

  • He had told this to Durga Ma.

  • Was this in Durga Ma's book Trilogy of Love? I'll have to re-read it. It is a great book.

  • Thank You!

  • Eyes can't help but cry. True man of God.

  • If there were one person I could meet over the last hundred year in all the world it would be without a doubt ParamahasaYogananda
