Lol alot of people think I am weird for saying this but Edward Scissor Hands scared me the most. The second is Paranormal Activity, and the third was the exorcist.
Chances are nobody here has ever heard of this movie but it's the one that scared the crap outta me as a kid! It was an old made for tv movie from the 80's called Don't Go To Sleep. There's a scene at the end where after killing a kid, and driving her sister crazy, this ghost of a little girl appears at the foot of her mom's bed and just the way that damn thing smiles still gives me the creeps to this day.
I agree with the two dudes that said "A Nightmare on Elm Street"; that one messed me up when I first saw it as a kid... For a whole year, I couldn't go to bed without looking underneath first, lol! Another one that scared the crap outta me, which I only saw for the first time lately, is 1983's Sleepaway Camp... That ending scene, man... S-P-O-O-K-Y!!!!!
OMG, as a kid it was THE HAND! I thought it was after me..lol Also THE CHANGELING, the wheelchair and wet ball scenes, yikes! THE DOLL on Night Gallery had be terrified til i was in my 30's lol! Gates of Hell..Blair Witch , and Excorcism of Emily Rose bcuz it's true. Original Amityville Horror scared me. I find Hellraiser creepy. I know you said one movie, but I was on a roll..hahaha :D
Great response! I think I'm one of the few people that didn't like the Changeling, I didnt find it scary, was disappointed after hearing so many great things about it. I always thought it was weird the lead actor never acted surprised or scared at the crazy stuff he saw. Hellraiser is definitely creeptastic! Evil dolls and creepy kids freak me out in movies. Very good choices!
the movie that scared me the most was stephen kings IT. I saw it when i was 9 and im still kinda scared of creepy looking clowns. The excorsist wasent scary at all, i saw it when i was 6, lol. 2nd maybe the ring or the grudge.....
everybody seems to be picking exorcist, i saw it with my sister on TV at 3 O'clock in the morning and it was uncensored too !!!!! but it didn't scare me at all, the only scene that scared me was the head turning scene, it gave me chills. but theres several movies that scared me Alien (chestburster scene was a shocker), The EYE 2 (probably the scariest movie i've ever seen yet, by the way not the cheap american remake, its the sequel of the hong kong one)
well fire in sky scare the shit out of me wen i was like 10.....i never sleep thinkin about beening aducted by aliens for like a month...... but i watch it like two weeks ago again and it wasnt as scary anymore
I know this upload was about a couple months ago, but I'm going to reply to it anyways. My recent horror film that I've watched was Paranormal Activity. I'll have to say that it is such an amazing movie. For a low-budget movie, they did an amazing job. It seemed so realistic and intriguing. I was on the edge of my seat the whole entire movie. In my opinion, this was the scariest movie of all time.
When i was a kid my scariest movie was An American Werewolf in London. But now that I'm a slightly older kid it has to be the Spanish horror movie [rec]. the ending is so tense and brilliant! If anyone hasn't seen it the they should check it out NOW!!!
I haven't seen Fire in the Sky, but now I want to!!
I LOOOOOOVE horror. When I was little, Poltergeist scared the shit out of me. I love it now. Same goes with the original Nightmare on Elm Street...when Johnny Depp got sucked into the bed and blood shot up towards the ceiling. OMG. I had nightmares for WEEEEKS when I was younger. Now I get tickled seeing Johnny Depp die. His character annoyed me.
i kno its lat to say this but the movie tht scared me the most was COOL AS ICE i thought tht it was then end of films as we knew it. rly they let vannila ice star in a movie jeez well great vid
off the top of my head it would be the guy that gets run over in pet cemetaery with th cracked head, and cain in poltergeist and the creepy music that went with it.
I hate to admit it but a terrible film called "The Incredible Melting Man" its so bad its good. Even MST3K has watched it and it can be found on Youtube. Gave me nightmares for a few weeks. After that it would have to be Jaws and Pet Cemetery.
As a kid "Poltergeist" really really scared me. As a grown up "The exorcism of Emily Rose" because this actually happened and most of the possession scenes are played by the girl herself with less effects than the exorcist which by the way is the second movie of all time (kid and grown up) that has scared me the most, specially BEFORE the possession.
I absolutely love "Fire in the sky", it's one of my all time favorite movies, and yes, it IS SCARY!!
man i missed when this got uploaded, i just decided to look for it :). fire in the sky scared me to lol the scene in the ship is so horrifying. prince of darkness is scary as hell lol, "This is not a dream" this video was awesome.
4 me it was a long time Dawn of the dead (remake) not because it was scary but the idea of zombies haunted me XD and the best "scary" movie i saw in the last days was the orphanage
Candyman and Nightmare on Elm st., both gave me nightmares as a child. I don't know what it is about Tony Todd's voice in Candyman but it chills me to the bone.
" I am the writing on the wall, the whisper in the classroom! Without these things, I am nothing. So now, I must shed innocent blood. COME WITH ME!"
One of the movies that scared me the most is definately An American Werewolf in London...And yeah Fire in the Sky is an excellent movie...and some aspects of that film are really freaky...Some great picks=}
Defenitly Stephen Kings IT! I was 8 and watched this movie over a week or somethin (had to stopp over and over), after that i was gettin really quick cuz i had to ran in the cellar and back as fast as i can. CRAZY

One word: MASTERPIECE!! Thank you so much for getting me in on this!! Man, the 1st time I seen Fire In The Sky, it freaked me out! And to think that story might be (allegedly) true just makes it even creepier.
Not to movies scare me today since im a grown man and ive seen practically every single horror flick from different genres like slasher, ghosts, zombie, gore, cannibals etc.
The only movie that really scared me was The Exorcist and the make-up FX created by master Dick Smith was ahead of its time.
Such a great vid... So sorry I missed out on this one.. The stuff that scares me is a good asian horror.. especially if you are focused on the subtitles and then.... BAMMM..
Fire in the Sky defanitaly freaked me out but I would say IT was probably the worst I seen it when I was 4 and for about 2 years after I wouldnt even look down a storm drain.
There was something on English TV when I was young called Ghostwatch...It was a mockumentary set in a "Haunted" house on Halloween, that went out on the BBC. At at time of broadcast though no one knew it was fake..So imagine small scale panic throughout england...I didn't see the end at the time, I spent that night in mortal terror.
THE EXORCIST always makes me laugh, the vomit scene and most of the scenes where the possessed Regan is talking always make me crack up. I can see why people would find it scary in the 70's because it was outlandish for that time, but when you look at it now, it's still a superb film but for different reasons.

There was no way I was gonna watch that shit alone!
Child's Play and It scared me when I was little, I remember dreaming that Chuckie was under my bed...good times..after that I was afraid of dolls

Even though it's far from halloween, I felt like commenting.
Black Sabbath (1963) is the scariest in my opinion, especially the segment story, A Drop of Water.
I also found Session 9, Black Christmas (original), Insidious, and Fire in the Sky to be extremely creepy.
