I am not a guitarist ( I am a drummer), but from what I gather about Tool's guitar licks, is that they are not necessarily very difficult, but nobody else really plays or sounds like him.

My point being, it doesn't take incredible difficultly to be incredibly creative.

@Bulldog22031. It all depends on the song. Crawl away is not too difficult but other songs off Aenima, 10k days oe Lateralus are pretty challenging. Third eye, wings and the grudge are just a few.
