  • I wouldn't want to be an ickaroo.

  • This was there second recording, and it didn't even chart. I love it though. 1937. <3

  • I'm 16 and I love the andrews sisters, :-D Thanks for posting this.

  • Thanks for posting this video.

  • Excellent!

  • Now for the white folks!

  • One day, I suddenly had the urge to look up 1940s music after going to fiddle camp and hearing the song Kansas City Kitty. I just wanted to hear some classics after hearing the swing version of the song. My search led me to the Andrews Sisters and other artists. :) I have been listening to this lovely genre since I was 12! Kudos to the classics! Swing and boogie-woogie, blues and bluegrass forever! Classic rock n' roll for life!

  • I don't care what people say, I'm thirteen and I can't get away from this era of music. This is my pop music, Uber!

  • @sirCheeseMaster I FEEL THE SAME!

  • @lizpluscamera So good to hear!

  • @sirCheeseMaster i'm 16, and SAME HERE!

  • @sirCheeseMaster me too i feel u....i thought i was the only one lol

  • @sirCheeseMaster I was about your age when I got turned on to swing and jazz. Don't you dare for one minute feel out of step by following this music! It just means you have exquisite taste! I would encourage you to check out the Boswell Sisters, the Andrews' predecessors--they're incredible!

  • @sirCheeseMaster

You got it! Nothing beats the 30s and 40s for the lyrics and music at that time. When we were in 4th grade we played in the grade school band and the high school band. The high school had a 70 piece marching band and only 105 kids in the high school. Many were from the grade school next door. I then played with the school horn in several city bands but then moved away for my junior year. We had a great life as teenagers. Look up the Coliseum Ballroom in IL for more.

  • @sirCheeseMaster I was your age when this was popular; 73 now. Joined the union in 8th grade and played in my directors German Band and then the local city bands. Moved away at 16. Guy Lombardo, the Dorsey brothers and other big name bands played in our town of 1,900 at the Coliseum Ballroom which burned down this summer. Biggest dance floor outside Chicago and St. Louis.

  • I love this song

  • I've never heard one song done by them that I didn't like. This is grreat to hear more about their singing ranges. Love Patty especially, but that always happens when you are the lead in anything. When she singa alone you can year her strengths. Were did they find all the songs that they sang...there were so many.

  • Foot's sitll tappn'

  • this is one of my altime fave track from the andrews sisters

    love every second of it!!!!!

  • I prefer this to Cab Calloway. This has very strong vocals and sounds 'modern' -- Cab's version is good but has a touch of 'stereotypical boring swing' to it.

  • @LibraryPervert : The vocals are good but the band has no real groove. They try but they don't have that pop and bop that Cab's band has.

  • love the cab calloway better.. that simply makes u want to jump around xD

just watch weather report and u'll know what i mean ;)

  • HEP HEP, hep-hep hep-hep! =D

  • THIS is singing yo. Peace.

  • oooh boy:)

  • The coolness of that talked "heh-hep, hep, hep" routine (around 0'27) is decades ahead of its time!

  • ouais !!! ça c'est de la zic !!! magnifique !!! long life good music !!!

  • Three beautiful ladies with even more beautiful voices that graced us with their music
