When you move your bench, your casters will swivel easier if you have the 2x cross-member where the casters are attached to, level with the floor. Make the lever longer from the pivot point to the contact point, so it will push it down a little more. Or to try it stick a 1/4" thick piece of wood or metal between there. Do you find that when you try to move the bench side to side the casters give you resistance because they want to stay straight? you know what i mean?
