Yeah it was actually pretty cool - one of the earliest examples of a multiplayer console RPG if not the earliest. Dungeon crawlers just aren't all that popular nowadays though.
@RagnaThePig you're right... but even something like zelda had a pitifully small amount of game footage...
People are usually only impressed by flashy pretty things...
Hell, I've witnessed that first hand... I made a game, and then decided to render some things in 3d, and the second I did that, people acted like the game was improved 100 times... yet the textures where the same, the game-play was the same, and yet they thought that I put 1000 times more effort into the game.
I remember playing this game when i was 7 or something, at least trying to.. didnt get a thing of the game, i hated it. and now, i want to play it again, just for the Hate Value.
Ah, the days when they couldn't show much actual gameplay in the commercials because the graphics sucked and would only deter people from buying. I know I miss them.
Yes, this game is good. I just came across all the maps I made for this so many years ago. I mapped out the whole thing, but never finished the game, mainly due to the frustrating system of 5 extremely long passwords to save. I think I'm going to make another attempt, bypassing that hurdle with the wonder of emulator save states. :)
Stabbing with a battle axe.... Reminds me of Morrowind...

I love how old game commercials showed almost no footage from the game XD...
TheReasonWhyGuy 1 year ago
@TheReasonWhyGuy That's because too much footage of the game would have showed everyone how boring that game was...
