@warrenmcurrier Why would u hate on a sista who's coming home with the expertise that she's accumulated abroad to share it in the form of realestate in Africa. U sound to me like a hater. No u dont hve to be some damn guru or whatever, just be willing to work and share ur talents and u can do great things in Africa. Unlike the west where u work ur ass off and rarely see the fruits of ur labor. I say Bigups to that sista. Keep on keeping on.
@tech4156 A Shilling is worth even less than 5 UK pence my friend. All the more fun when you're visiting from England. Think about all the boda-boda rides you could buy, or icecream even lol

LMAO, You OBVIOUSLY have NOT been there if you are mentioning things that ARE there. I know because I am Ugandan and I go regularly. She moved back and I'm moving back to when I have finished MedIcal school.
What are you talking "no traffic lights and paved roads..."
Were you not watching the beggining of the film?? lol
But yes most of the urban areas in East African Federation do lack world class infrastructure but as the economy grows so will the construction sector as you can see in this film alone.
Ten years ago Kampala was much worse but you can now find anything you would in any city around the world.
Once we sort out high level corruption the African giant will awake.
Further more, there is now an Express way called the "Northern Bye Pass" which is the first of it's kind in the whole of East Africa. And just as one of the guys mentioned, the Kampala-Hoima high way is world class. I should know as I travelled it as it was being built and after it's complition. It is one of many new road layouts across the Pearl of Africa.
Once there are oil refineries in UG, the economy will grow much the same way China and/or at least the way the UAE economy has grown. The economy has been growing by over 6 percent for over ten years. This is the case already even before UG has started flexing its oil muscles.
Pearl Africans are very resourceful and entrepreneurial even if they live in shanty towns/slums. This means they do have an income. I should know as I was there. Everbody wants whatever is in trend be it Mobile's cars whatever. They will do whatever business they can to aquire an income. Just like in China or else where.
This is awesome , the music is great too...

A barbaric country that puts homosexuals to death or makes them spend life in prison.
I would never visit nor invest there.

The funny sketch with the guy on 0.52 secs is too funny and puts a nice touch to the report/film.
I love it!

By the way the name of the taxi's is pronounced "Boda-Boda"
This looks like a professional film so the research should be just as professional.

dirty air, no public transportation. An Urban Sprawl nightmare in progress.
How is buying a house there a good investment?
What is a good investment?
After 27 years abroad this Real Estate lady is our new Guru.

Where is the new wealth coming from?
Oil and coffee exports are not the answer,
Especially the oil. This 'great resource' may prove to do more harm than good.
Where are sidewalks, traffic lights, public transportation?
What problem is solved by having a cell phone and/or a bank account IF I have NO INCOME.and live in a slum?
Eventually we'll be forced to build towns that function, OR, we will perish.
What is the value that this N. Senkeeto person brings to the party?
