In Creepshow, a marble ashtray belonging to director George Romero was used as a prop in all five stories.
1. Father's Day--Bediela murders her father with the marble ashtray.
2. The Lonesome Death Of Jordy Verrill--When Jordy is fantisizing about selling the meteor, watch when the professor in the "Department Of Meteors" opens his metal cash box. The ashtray is behind the box in the lower righthand side of the tv screen.
Great movie funny and scary as hell. Did you notice that horrific deleted scene in the trailor ? It must have been deemed to disturbing. I wonder what else they took out ??
@Rob23 I had this illustrated comic book adaption of this flick which did feature THAT particular scene ( where aunt Bedilia encouters the dead body of her lover on a slab with halph his face shot off, haveing been asasinated by her evil wealthy daddy ) .
@Skulldini Ah man, I'd love to get hold of a creepshow magazine, never ever had one, I'm from Britain (UK) I'm not American, so my chances on getting a mag would be massively unlikely, unless an ebayer would sell one.
OMG I have seen this movie! I found this trailer by accident. I was trying to find the song "Creepshow" by Kerli but when I typed in "Creepshow" I saw this. So I was like, maybe this will be a good movie. But I remember now, I did see this many years ago when I was little. This movie scared the shit out of me! But I loved it. I think this is the one where the guy finds the meteor and then he gets green stuff on him? I saw the green part in the trailer so I think that's how he got it.
I love this movie I have it on DVD for years now. Super classic!

@MrShades92 That's a deleted scene from "Father's Day" actually. It was a short flasback sequence of Aunt Bedelia going to the morgue to identify the corpse of her murdered boyfriend Yarbro.
i love this film. i was 13 when it came out and i could not wait to see it and i was not dissapointed.all the stories were great and they were scary with a lot of cool humor.if you love the old E C COMICS,then you will love this film , which also has a great cast, leslie nielson, hal holbrook, ted danson and mr. king himself.
very good and very very very funny movie such great dark humor great writing great acting and a great cast i specaly love the episode something that tides you over
@WorlddestroyGuy Yeah it had some great dark comedy but it was also genuinely scary. Especially as a kid in that era. The Crate and They're Creeping Up On You had to be some of the scariest segments in movie history.
Stylistically, Creepshow is my favorite horror flick.

3. Something To Tide You Over--When Leslie Nielson is lying in bed, the ashtray is on the nightstand to his right.
4. The Crate--When Wilma's husband Henry is writing the note to her, the ashtray is above the paper in the top right of the tv screen.
5. They're Creeping Up On You--When the old man is washing his hands, the ashtray is to the right of the sink being used as a soapdish.

@alexlancer11 Yes they deleted that scene from the movie - at the 50 second mark, when you see a body being uncovered in the morgue.
