James Arthur Ray was an arrogant sadist. He pushed people to do things that even HE wasn't actively participating in the last three days of the Sedona trip as well as the day of the deaths. He was cold, heartless and it ended up being more about "endurance" exercises rather than "spiritual warrior breakthroughs". However, you do NOT go to prison for ANY of those things. Even Manson is solely in prison for being an accomplice to murder. Ray was an accomplice, not a murder. They had choice.

I don't know why Ray is associated with Maxwell Maltz's "Psycho-Cybernetics." This guy is a straight up scam artist and liar. Just read Dr. Maltz's book yourself, skip the middle-men con artists, and change your life. Period.

It was an accident- There was negligence, there was arrogance, there was carelessness

BUT it was accidental. I cannot imagine besides the victims families NO ONE feels worse about this than Ray. He has lost all of his credibility and his name is mud.

He is probably ashamed to go into the street and he wishes that he had died instead of the others.

@jimboedwardlee Right after those people died, he refused to cooperate with the investigating authorities. He proceeded to conduct seminars at luxury hotel conference centers to drum up more business for the same type of retreats he'd been doing all along, two of which ended in death of clients. He was still charging the enormous fees. He was stopped because he went to jail.

@jimboedwardlee Wrong! Watch more videos, those with survivors, he locked them in and refused to open the door even people were throwing up, laying down on the ground shaking. The next day he just went to his office like everything were perfect and said to his staff "Say, What a fantastic day, how can I serve you?". He send back half of the money to the victims family that it costed to attend. He would not lose too much him selves on that account. He arranged a new one the week after.

I've just been looking through the police photo's of Death Ray's Sedona living quarters, taken after he had fled the scene, mainly because I was intrigued by the vast amount of questionable medication he was lugging about with him---Human Growth Hormone? Estrogen suppressors used by women suffering breast cancer? Stuff to prevent hair loss?---doesn't sound too much like a 'spiritual warrior facing death fearlessly' to me.

He had a hand in murdering people at his lodge. He did not help, he did not let his employee call 911. He did not perform CPR, he did nothing. Most people's little "human foibles" don't result in others dying. Please don't compare what James Ray did with something akin to cutting off a driver in traffic or forgetting to feed the fish.

Three people are DEAD as a result of his actions. Right after the tragic event happened, what did Mister "personal responsibility" do?

He ran away.

He left that night, while his followers were still sick (and dying) in the hospital.

"Death Ray" deserves to go to prison for a long time.

james arthur ray although a famous teacher, is also a human being each and every one of us. we all make mistakes, we screw up sometimes. its all a part of the human process of learning and growing on this planet. we shouldn't put people on pedstals then break them back down when they do something unexpected.
