I love this video, and believe that the song does fit. Planet Earth was a wonderful endeavor to show us so many mysteries left on our beautiful planet, which is all the more precious because so much is being destroyed. Nature itself can seem harsh and cruel with natural disasters and some aspects of animal behavior, but the flip side is the will to survive and thrive. Ugliness and beauty live side by side, and the song points out and rejoices in both.

The footage and song are good, but the editing is terrible. Most of the clips feel random (the smiley bird, the polar bears), nothing syncs up, and there are too many landscape shots. A good editor would have put, say, the great white scene, the most famous death in the series, right before the climax, but this vid puts a deer jumping into water as that scene.

We've been watching Planet Earth in Outdoor Education for a while now, and they are, as fact, the greatest films of the natural places on earth ever taken for the screen. They seriously capture every aspect, practically, having breathtaking views of some of the rarest breeds, habitats, and natural occurences in the whole world. Every second blows me away... And I learned a great deal too! I am definitely intending to buy the whole thing, along with Blue Planet of course...
