  • hey hendrix did dig jr brown, asked back in the late 60's what guitarist he admired he answered Junior, and goes also the rumor jimi was late to monterey pop festival because he was partying with Brown with mushrooms ?

  • that broad is his wife

  • Love the broad playing along with him, killer

  • @d18272 Ya She's awesome!

  • Awesome ! I saw him on Austin City Limits on PBS in the 90's Must've been the one hmorganman was at ?

I GOTTA check out Danny Gatton !

    THANKS for the tip

  • I'm proud to say I've seen him play at the Continental Club in Austin Texas for the Sunday Matinee as well as other artists. But I moved to Wisconsin I found out that he was playing at a Casino in Green Bay I made sure to have as many people there as possible to enjoy his music... Now he has a huge following in Wisconsin as well as Texas!

  • Jounior Brown stepped into the role long vacant since the death of Danny Gatton: The Worlds Greatest Unknown Guitarist. The man is an incredible musician. I first saw him on Austen City Limits in the mid-late 90s. His knowledge and usage of the entire fretboard is wizardry.

  • Danny was great! I got turned on to him back 1999 when I was doing some work at the HOuse of Reps in DC. A local DC player turned me on to this great player Danny Gatton. Awesome man!

  • A brief story. My very first job over 20yrs ago was as a Summer computer clerk at the National Science Foundation in downtown DC. The office manager was a woman named Jan. At my goodbye party on my final day there, somebody asked what Jans husband did for a living. It turns out that Jan was Janet Gatton, Danny Gattons wife. It wasnt until years later that I realized what a monumental musician Danny Gatton was. R.I.P.

  • @hmorganman check out Scotty Anderson. He picks up where Gatton left off with ease.

  • WOW! This man can pick!!! I knew he was good, but damm!!! This song is sooo cool. I have always liked JB, and this song has to be clost to the top of his i ilke.

  • why do i even try

  • Jr. deserves more air time!

  • Git it Junior! Wonder how Jimi would have looked in a taco hat.

Sounds like Green Eyed Lady at 2:11

  • Anyone notice the lick from Jimi Hendrix's Manic Depression at 2:11-2:21? It is the exact lick.

  • How about the "The Wind Cries Mary" lick at 3:20-25? Sounds like he's got good influences!

  • @fordkilla383 Yup, I see in the live version he does a lot more Hendrix stuff. Least Junior is still alive lol.

  • always did like JB

  • That is one awesome dude. His bass and rhythm players are awesome too to let him go wild and still make it back alive.

  • Funny you say that

..when I saw him he had two really professional looking young men backing him up and they totally rocked, and I thought

" wow, how cool to be jamming with a legendary talent such as JR Brown"

  • Can't imagine what the Europeans thought of that 'thaing' Junior plays!

  • 50 times i've heard this,and STILL, I NEVER GET TIRED OF LISTENING !

  • Amen, it took me a very, very long time to get the flatpicking parts down. Junior is one of the best, damn fun to listen too.

  • Sic em Junior.....tear it up !!

  • THIS IS FUCKIN KILL!

  • hey check out fretkillr and tell me if this is his style and watch his thumb while hes chording

  • WOW! Junior really kicks a** with this one. He really knows how to make that guitar(or steel guit as it's sometimes called) talk. I'd sure like to be able to see him live... I'll bet it's a great show!

  • it's called a guitsteel.

  • top shelf!!!!!+++++

  • He's even a better act live, very well worth the show.

  • I've never had the pleasure, I bet he is amazing.

  • now that is what i call KICKASS!!

  • Junior is as good as it gets, Farber2000 should pull his head out and tell everyone about the view!!!!!!!

  • now that's funny I don't care who you are

  • KICK ASS

  • hendrix would have respected his talent, but not be into him

  • Do you have oatmeal between your ears? Jimmi's favorite guitarist was Billy Gibbons, u know who he is don't ya genius?

  • jimi hendrix would have totally dug Junior

  • A guitar hero, but I wouldn't recommend walking in front of French traffic!

  • He's a better musician than most of these guys they are putting on tv and radio now.

  • loved seein Junior at the Continental on SOCO

  • Junior is a great musician, no doubt about it. The guitsteel he uses in this video is his first one, which he named "Old Yeller".

  • Junior Brown is the epitamy of great artistry

  • lol this guys so totally original he reminds of the late danny gatton the way he genre jumps within a single song.like buddy there was saying he quotes from manic depression and wind cries mary and maybe third stone from the sun.... rock on junior we love your music peace

  • He sure got magic fingers, showing pure talent, is he still around? Thanks.

  • shit bro you wish you could play like that

so dont dare talk shit about junior.

  • Oh Man! so many great things about this video, the main thing being JB! I love how he goes around France and England, the Helmet thing. did you hear it when he incorporated a bit of the solo from Jimi's Manic Depression?(2:15)

this guy is a rarity. His playing and his voice are great!

  • A little bit of "the wind cries mary" at the end.

  • who needs words when ya can play like that ?

  • Too much music, not near enough words and too many flashes.
