I assume the reason is because you don't want to be around for the possibility of another failed MMO launch?
Tbh, I'd rather take my chances with MO then play WoW's prettier cousin, but meh, I can see how it'd be much simpler to not risk MO. Plus, I think hardcore MMOs may not make a comeback if MO doesn't succeed. WoW's been too successful and other gaming companies would rather make a sure-fired buck then make a unique game.
Because its combat looks complete and utter shit in my opinion. I've never really been interested in MO tbh.
It's nothing to do with 'failed MMO launches'; on impulse after seeing a stream of CB I decided to pre-order Aion, and it turned out I was having FUN in the game instead of it feeling like another generic MMORPG.
FUN; something Darkfall didn't deliver for me in the long run.
Oh well,if Mortal Online actually turns out to be good, then maybe one day in the future I'll play it.
I'm in the beta and Combat is pretty good. It's pretty basic right now--Oblivion-ish and definitely Beta, but hopefully it'll progress and more diversity will be added as we go along.
I'm not a fanatic for it either, but if it doesn't turn out well I probably will give up on MMO gaming entirely and just play Tribes. Honestly, it gets tiring--waiting, waiting and more waiting, to get a failed product.
Aion is just too much like WoW for me. I just can't palate WoW-ish games anymore.
Many reasons, none of which I'll explain here. Auto-target towers as a design choice,a grind worse than most F2P's,melee combat underused in favour of ranged, etc etc etc.
Not interested in Mortal Online; I already have a new legion for Aion and I'm going to be playing Aion next.
It's the same as with WoW :/ .. The alternative method were you pay only for the time you play is only for asia, I think there is a law there preventing them from asking a monthly fee
wtf y do all mmorpgs look the same?

Looks aint everything. Gameplay is more crucial than what the game looks like.

Darkfall failed for me. They kept in stupid auto-target towers in a game that emphasises manual combat, among other things I dislike about the game.
That and Darkfall just bored me after a while. To each their own.
I had fun in Aion's CBT. Something I didn't have in Darkfall for several months after Darkmoore fell.

It failed for me too, but Aion...
To each his own indeed.
