Your playthrough is the best for Dark Souls, its as good as Re4Freak4 for Demon's Souls. Love it. Would really love to see a Melee playthrough as you kinda just flew through this with your Caster ;-)

Hey zeitgeist, what do you mean by "normal playtrough"? Coz now that i see this game, it looks a lot like Shadow of the Colossus in the exploration way, like u dont know shit bout where u got to go... so the normal playtrough would be try to find the way that you die less?

When you die. What else do you lose besides you soles. Do you lose the Fire Gem you just picked up.??

@STLouis314ification If you were in Human Form, you become Undead or "Hollow". You also lose all souls in in the bottom right corner (not soul items), and you lose all humanity in the top left corner (not humanity items).

@STLouis314ification You don't lose items you acquire, only souls and humanity (humanity is just for reviving yourself to human form, mainly.)

If you don't want to lose souls/humanity and don't mind using one, use one of the free homeward bones you get in the starting area upon picking up the Firekeeper Soul in New Londo. There's plenty of free homeward bones from bosses and in the beginning of the game, so using one isn't a big deal. If you're fast enough you can do the same thing against the Undead Dragon (ill advised).

@TheDrPhil100 The master key unlocks the door in New Londo Ruins. You don't have to have a key simply to use the lever to get down there though. You just have to be lined up straight with it.

Your intro video was way more help than I've ever hoped! When someone tells a new player at the start of the game to go somewhere, they forget it may be quite difficult to gather your bearings. Not only you showed it step by step but also you told why it was good so one can skip certain item or not!

I'd pick the Master Key over all other items too, unless you start as a Thief, Thief's get the Master Key by default no matter what. I seem to remember there being only two items that's useful from the character creation part. One was the Master Key and one other I've forgotten the name of(been awhile since i played) that let's you talk to an NPC that is normally mute unless you have that item.
