  • subhanallah

  • I love this.. =D

  • 2 days later she ate it

  • If Dat Wud Be A Lion Killed da Baby

  • So what happened to the baby?

  • when the video cuts? he ate it lol...

  • @squallo9 to be perfectly honest we hans are indeed animals of the mammal species. Although out brain IS more evolutionized of a leopard or a bamboo but we are of the same species. A big thing would be the release of hormones in animals that show of what you call, "emotion". It is as evolution says.

  • Animals dont have emotions, they are only guide by instinct, but we try to humanize them becouse we have feelings towards them. In my opinion we should try to be more rational and see the animals as they are, living forms that act conform a specific ways resumed in their instincts. So i dont think animals ought to have rights. We, the humans, must use them in our own benefits

  • @squallo9

You are a selfish, knowlegdeless prick.

  • @squallo9 Animals might not always feel emotions like we do, have morals like us or think like us for that matter. But many of them have indeed feelings. They can feel happy, sad, scared, "love", solitude etc. I have animals of my own and have come across many in my life, and I can tell you they can feel.

An example is the gorilla Koko, who knows sign language. She felt sad when her cat died and she doesn't want to see the sad part of a movie because it saddens her. She could feel for humans.

  • @squallo9 I wouldn't be surprised if you're diagnosed as Sociopath or Psychopath by shrinks.

  • @Daan892 I would´nt be surprised it you´re diagnosed as an asshole that says things that doesnt have sense

  • @squallo9 Most people I've met are assholes so I'm just adapting myself. How do you know that animals don't have feelings? Have you ever had a pet? Have you ever interacted with animals?

  • @Daan892 It is obvious that for have reach my opinion i have needed some experience with animals, so the answer is yes. Since i was 10 years old i have had a dog, and i like it so much, but in all these years I have never seen evidences that confirm that animals have feelings. They act as animals, no more, they are only guided by instinct. My grandparents have also a little farm with many animals, and my observations have confirmed what i have already said.

  • @Daan892 In villages most people agree with me. There you can see animals and observe their behaviour very well, but if you are not satisfied you can also go to the wilderness, something that i have already done, and do what i have explained before. But dont confuse yourself, the fault of that people think like you is becouse of films and television. Disney movies have done a lot of damage to children convencing them that animals are like people, and sensitive assholes do not help a lot too

  • @squallo9 Is it possible that you're just insensitive to all of the emotions around you?

  • @Daan892 OMFG have you read what i wrote? have you understand something of what i said? could you argue and explain your position with rationatility an stop saying stupid things like that?

  • @squallo9 Answer my question!

  • @Daan892 Of course i have emotions asshole, I´m human remember? But the fact that I think that animals dont have emotions doesnt mean that i dont have emotions too, which is obviously logic

  • btw, this is pretty amazing, sometimes animals can be quite amazing

  • Carnivores dont naturally eat other carnivors the meat is poisenous. SHE was just following her evolving instincts throughout the whole clip. Just like all animals do. Its human instinct to be dumb and to fix and help ourselves. The Bible, life and other humans teaches us all that. This vid is not a shining moment for NatGeo commentary nor the post'er.

  • @MrTex1987 our instincts makes emotions , Evolution is natural , Whenever i see animals , i see fear , love , hate , hunger , job , even other emotions in their eyes , you can feel when your pet loves you , you can understand when an animal feels too, the way a mother always protects her kids , why do you think human mothers are like that about their children ,Its instinct , It came from animals , I believe

  • I, by observation, believe that animals have feelings, and that "only stymulus response" falls short to explain well a lot of their behaviors. Having said that, and although I believe the lion did feel something here, I think calling this "guilt" is going a bit too far. Guilt would require notions of good and bad, which are human concepts

  • The is amazing:)

  • aww this made me so sad :( bless her too x

  • good night

  • soooo.... what happended to the mother babboon???

  • @aguirreruru apparently the cat forgot about it after all of that.....

  • @aguirreruru umm... it died bro.. kind of essential to understanding the overall story.

  • perhaps the leopard had some feelings but it seems to me that she was simply playing with the monkey

  • Why in the world would you think the animal feels guilt of all things?!

  • Probably he ate the baby 5 mins later as a night snack

  • So cute!!!!!!!!!! :-) I'm crying .

  • I'm curious to see how the baboon would grow up. There have been many cases of species growing with others from a dying mother. Such as squirrels, mice, etc. raised by cats or dogs and then usually act like what took care of them even though it is a different species. A baboon acting like a leopard in the wild would be crazy to see haha. But of course animals have feelings, even being scared is one feeling. There was a meerkat that went crazy from seeing her baby die and wouldn't let it go. Sad

  • @MusicAndFlesh i was raised by horses. they taught me horse karate. we use to smash sheeps all the time, they talk alot of shit.

  • This animal proved that life is innately less just to kill

  • That was very sad anybody know wat happend to the baby baboon? where is the rest of this video? i would hate to be the Leopard

  • @1wildhorse i was just thinking the same thing, whoever added the video should have added the rest. I hope the baby didn't freeze in the cold night. Remember the vide0o said that it was the cold that finally made the monkey quiet.

  • This was an amazing video. I haven't been so inspired by animals since the battle for kruger video. Thank you for sharing.

  • I feel for the little baboon , tear jerking

  • this is just amazing

  • I think humans and animals are a lot closer than we all assume or understand. Though most belief systems state that humans, animals and the Earth itself came from the same source, too many people look down at animals like they aren't living things at all or something completely alien. Its very frustrating, because in a lot of ways they are a key to understanding ourselves.

  • wonderful :) people ignore anything else around our self, even if they would believe animals do have feelings they wish to not care about it!

  • maybe it's just letting it grow big to eat it later XD haha

  • @Ebrech you're so stupid! I can give you a million of examples like that, and most of them, both were adult, so....just shut up.

  • @Sahara24h Give me a million examples then...

  • @Ebrech Here you have some examples:

    youtube.com/watch?v=btuxO-C2IzE

    youtube.com/watch?v=vdzassDm7eM&feature=related youtube.com/watch?v=Q9OfK1HfPWg&feature=related

  • animals do have feelins dimmwits..its the human whos ignorant...we cant seem to understand the emotion of animals...

  • See I think that is amazing to see in the wild, nice video :)

  • Bah!It disgusts me at the amount of hippies that commented on this disturbing,to say the least, video.Animals have no souls, conscience, and can not feel pain.As a human being, it is my divine right, to hunt, and kill animals as i deem fit, i myself, am proud to say that i own several slaughter houses, and i have never seen any "emotion" coming from the hundreds of cows, sheep, pigs, and chicken that we kill per year, all i see is a meal, of tender, juicy, delectable, meat.

  • @WaddelseWaddelsworth

    youre sick.

  • @WaddelseWaddelsworth you do not have a divine right of any sort. if its for food thats one thing. but to kill because you deem it fit is fucked up and wrong. im sick of seeing people who think because theyre human theyre better than animals, you are no better that the deemed 'lowely' mosquito that makes a meal of you.

  • @WaddelseWaddelsworth humans are animals to you know..how do you feel someone that's verry close to you being eaten..

  • TOO young to eat, i'm a grow you up to be around 50 lbs and i'ma eat you deliciously.

  • @Ikiendangi you ignorant...animals have feelings too, you're just to stupid to understand it.

  • @Sahara24h u reply to a comment 1 month ago. Btw how do you feel if someone eat your mother and raise you? Feeling my fucken ass, go play with lion they have feelin for you.

  • @Ikiendangi They kill in order to survive. You eat meat, right? Maybe you've never killed an animal in your life, but somebody kills them for you.

So, we kill in order to survive as well...and we do have feelings, right?....

We both kill, and that doesn't mean we don't have feelings.

  • @Ikiendangi Please watc this youtube.com/watch?v=btuxO-C2IzE

  • I saw this on TV

Baby baboon was kill by other male leopard while this leopard on hunt next morning .after lepoard came from hunt saw dead baboon he kind a sad.

  • Animals FTW!!

  • thats not guilt thats maternal instincts

  • @vvirex

its not maternal instinct, cause most of the time they would kill the baby.

but i watched this documentary and when this leopard was a tiny baby her mother went hunting, and in order to protect her young she was killed by a huge gang of baboons..

and this leopard seen everything, and they followed this leopard growing up and it never forgot what murdered her mother, and this attack on the baboon was a revenge attack..

and when it saw the baby baboon it reminded her of herself...

  • Very cute! What fascinates me also is that when i sit here on my computer with all technology around there is creatures like these living in the wild in the same world as me all the time. Soon there wont be anymore wild animals since human keep building all the time and taking their resources! It really scares me :(

  • @WeeFreddan I think you should kill your family and then yourself; and save more resources for the little animals. Oh, and please make sure you kill everyone who thinks(?) like you do also, thank you. Post natal abortions are in your near future.

  • @UncleSickey Eh, what? What are you trying to say? We need to take care of the nature around us. Im not a extreme tree hugger but its serious business. We destroy our planet..

Im not doing much about it, just sayin.

  • @WeeFreddan listen, if you dont want earth to become a human only hellhole, please, you should help me tell others to stop doing what they're doing, and get a better way of life.. im sure there must be many more people like us, and we have to do something! we have to get off our computers and start a riot or something, protest and tell other sick people we cant live like this forever!! we have to take care of our planet and creatures!

  • And we call human inmate animals! god we are by far worst.

Look at the world wars for noting at least animals they kill for food not revenge and financial goals.

    What an amazing clip

  • Jeremy Iron is the narrator, that "Scar"-voice always gets me:P

  • probably waiting that its growing up and when its big, then is time to eat :DDD

  • so wat happens after like wat happens to her and the bby

  • @bishopNpoohbear lol she raises the baby until it becomes a bigger meal duh. lmao ftw

  • incredible.

  • i for one think he is not killing it as he clearly knows the baby is gonna be around the tree.better keep it fresh for another days breakfast

  • @cochinshark your an idiot too

  • @bishopNpoohbear how im not the one sayin stupid dumb shit

  • How amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • and that monkey turned out to be donkey kong the end.

  • amazing... animals are much more people than we are...

  • leopard learns to raise livestock

  • @catstephenz idiot

  • Each time I eat hotdog , i feel wrong, i feel the darkside of the force

  • aww the baboon died.

But see the leopard was learning, biting hurts

  • I remember watching this. I remember that baby dies from hunger in the end.

Animals' right to dance is the video of my first song, check my page if u r curious..

  • @AnimalsRightToDance o the bby realli dies thats terrible

  • @bishopNpoohbear well of course it would die, it's not like the leopard could give it milk it would starve pretty quickly, even if the cold didn't kill it.

  • El respeto a la vida que nace ¿instinto? Muy impresionante.

  • In accordance with Dawkin's theory of altruistic behavior, maybe this is an example of an altruistic behavior gene present in the leopard's mind that says "save very small things that look like it's in distress?"

Something that baffles me is that leopards will usually eat babies of animals from other species right? Maybe this leopard's altruistic gene was mutated and this was a "misfiring" of a gene that told it to save the little monkey?

I mean Animals do think, to some degree, but ..

  • ANIMAL ABUSE,and threats in english by evil demon hates animal and hates viewrs

  • If these wild animals can do it, why can't we all get along? think about that to yourself.

  • Don't want to ruin this cute vid, but big cats normaly adopt small animals when already full for 2-5 days then eats them. THAT MONKEY IS DINNER!

  • @ICdeadtrolls wheres your source, without a good scientific base, that affirmation would be considered fake

  • Animal empathy<3

  • It is tough to kill a baboon, and the leopard might love baboon meat alot. The baby baboon is too thin and small to satisfy the leopard's appetite. Perhaps she wanted to raise the baby into a nice size before she can have more baboon meat. :)

  • Brilliant vid on Nat Geo! I don't think the little one made it though. The leopard must have dashed off afterward, making it vulnerable to attacks by other leopards, hyenas, and snakes.

  • shut up and watch the video

  • Love is everywhere..

  • Allah hath created every animal of water. Of them is (a kind) that goeth upon its belly and (a kind) that goeth upon two legs and (a kind) that goeth upon four. Allah createth what He will. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things. (45) of surah 24 Quran

  • This is such a sweet video. Animal's are capable of emotions that we humans seem to forget sometimes. A Shame.

  • OMG cant stop crying! the leopard was so caught in the guilt that she dint eat the prey and lied down as if crying abt what she just did!!!!

  • prolly the video of the year

  • "You're a fine little baboon... but you know one day I'm going to have to eat you."

  • Aww, that was so sad :(

  • really very touching

  • LOVE. All it does is get in the way of natural selection and self perfection.

That baboon could have tasted very good.

  • Maybe, being lovable is -part- of natural selection. Sure is in the Human world.

  • tbh i really dont like people that talk like that all they try to do is sound heartlees and emotionless so people think omg hes one hardcore fucker m8 i dont believe in love only love i belive in is animal love so how does love get in the way of natural selection and self perfection? do u really think love is the reason to not reaching perfection? no didnt think so fact is none of us can reach self perfection so jus because u dont get much love dont blame it on love

  • I am sorry I offended you, but love is something I really CAN'T do. I made a personal commitment to myself long ago, I fell in love to be let down. Love is too christian for me. Aside from that, Love only exists just because of a simple bio-physiological basis.

Some time of solitude later, I found myself to be getting better.

I am impersonal, but I am not heartless. I need a heart to hate.

P.S. With all my heart, I do wish that you improve in typing skills.

  • yeah dude im the same except im more to grouds with what love is nowadays but i dnt go around saying i dont believe in love or shit like that i could explain all of this to u and it would probs make alot of sence but it wud b too long to fit in a comment box :( only love i believe in is family and animal love dnt get mixed up between partner love nd family love

and sorry for the spelling i do it so i can fit everything in one comment box

  • @ItDuz Thanks for understanding, I do believe in love. Just not for me. I'm sure you will find something special. I will do as I have been doing.

  • I love it best video ever...why did the baboon have to die?!

    OMFG thanx sooo cute...

  • i like leopards but i love jaguars they are the best :D

  • it was so amazing, it truly touches heart..

  • Exactly as garrettajmoore

    SO WONDERFULLY CUTE!..

i just wish the entire humanity would act

like that leopard..and i adore animals i almost started crying...so wonderfull

  • omfg this is so CUTE!

  • El gurat olfren er turndas rodsiencasr la ti' mohu citne l'en mot como seyama usted nessisito er el bano

haha dont even know what language a just typed. Think there is some spanish in there lol.

    btw great video

  • @actress4ever12 you need the toilet?

  • haha u got me lol

  • She's playing whit her food.... like I play with my burguer..........

  • cuddle with your hamburgers too?

  • @AlonzoMullendore your an idiot

  • that was too good

  • poor baby..

  • wow !!

  • this is a work of LOVE

    only love can do this

  • That's overwhelming me.

  • that was the coolest thig ever

  • This made me cry.

  • Sure all animals have feelings but they can't express in a way we could understand but this time it was easy for us to understand

  • Well obviously she couldn't really take care of it. If she'd had cubs of her own maybe she could have fed it, but she was barely grown up herself. Sad, but beautiful.

  • This only goes to prove that animals do HAVE a conscious and do think, even if we dont understand them. Its not THEIR ignorance, its OURS. Loved it.

  • @enievafs - (1/2)

your comment only goes to prove that you make no distinction between thinking, knowledge and instinct... not to mention the 'conscious' remark ;]

Just because some animals do certain things, doesn't mean they 'know' what they're doing. the fact that a documentary plays some nice music and narrates some sweet story, does not mean that its a scientific based observation. its more like watching the Flintstones and believing we understand the Caveman.

  • @durox oh well, having people like you in the world is what makes the world what is is today... SHIT. shame we still have CAVE men like yourself walking round. Oh sorry, you must be more like a tin man... NO HEART . one day you will be an old person and then you will see the worl in a different way, I excuse you as you may still be young and not reached adulthood yet. Wait till you have kids.

  • @enievafs so i understand that you still have no idea what you're talking about, hence your personal remarks... ;]] w/ all the respect, at your 49yrs of age, one would expect some wisdom or at least politeness.

i dont excuse you for being ignorant and rude. i dont need to be 49yrs old to see the world in a dif way, and i see no need to bring the kids in this discussion. PLEASE read some scientific papers on this matter, i've suggested some in my previous reply. read my ps again...

  • @enievafs - (2/2)

google 'Knowledge vs Instinct' by Hoimar von Ditfurth, or Francis Crick and Christof Koch the Delay experiment for more interesting info on this subject.

ps its a nice thing to like and enjoy animals and pets, but lets not see them for what they're not. ;]

  • @enievafs Let me guess, you either didn't study about instincts or you failed it miserably. If the baby baboon ran, it would've been dinner....get it? That's why they tell humans not to run from the big cats....it's instinct and they'll hunt you down even if they're not particularly hungry. Now if you actually think that they can 'think' as we do, you have to carry through on your logic. So when male lions kill cubs, they're psycho? serial killers? This is instinctual behavior (all animals)

  • it was madness madness this is sparta!

  • un felino, predatore, riesce a riconoscere come se fosse un suo cucciolo, un babbuino neo-nato...l'uomo, non riesce ancora a riconoscere i suoi simili...c'e da

    riflettere...molto...senza parlare poi

    dei bambini...NON COMMENT...

  • and yet it is said after a week or so the prey are killed by the foster parent anyways...

  • leopards have such an amazing personality they are such big strong personalities they are so different in charactar they are really loners with great personalities

  • so it is true!!! tarzan and george were raised by wild animals

  • I think she was saving it for dessert!

  • i didn't get the last part.. "it was the cold that finally made the baby baboon go quiet." i got that one.

but this, "the night the leopard laid down with the baboon." ? what did he mean?

  • I think it was a kind way of saying it bit the dust.

  • the commentator acts like he knows what those animals are thinking..

  • Like all commentators for animal movies act... Thats the reason I hate most of them.

But this one Jeeesh ... Thx for sharing

  • OMG! That is so amazing! Bless her! Again,I'm blown away, that animals can show more compassion and humanity than some humans can themselves! : )

    AW!-some!

  • SO cute hehehehehehehehe

  • this is a mistery o.O

  • i saw a vid of a leopeard with cubs came across a lion baby that was hidden in the grass while its mother got killed by hyenas. The leopard picked it up and was like deciding if taking it or not but then the annoying hyenas made her change of mind and leave it there :S

Would be fun to see a lion raised by a leopard.

Btw who ever thinks animals have no feeling similarities too us 1. has never had a pet 2. is a short minded anthropocentrist with self-knowledge issues

  • I heard that if a babay was abandoned out in the jungle, that monkeys would take it in a nd raise them like their own....actually i watched a show about this, it was true. It was a very young boy.

  • To be honest, monkey raised children are brought up like primitive humans and as such are the best fit to one day be brought back into the society, as opossed to some other animal raised children. There's numerous incidents of this throughout the entire history, almost no living being is able to slay a crying newborn, there's very few races that can do so. Humans are one.

  • oOOoOhHHhhH thats sooooo saaad :'(

  • I showed this to my Dad who says that humans are superior to animals and he said this was either fake or istincts gone haywire, but I know he's wrong.

  • sorry but your father is a moron, you´ll see

  • LOL that is very funny

  • Yeah sometimes he really annoys me.

  • haha, funny reply

  • once i found a paralysed rabbit and looked after it for a few days it was really sad I should have kept it! regret?

  • What did you do, leave it somewhere, or kill it?

  • o.o how is that even possible?

  • Ya know, people who keep saying animals have no feelings or souls seriously get on my nerves.

  • very strange.... there are like US ..why we are eating ANIMAL ???

  • Hmmm...

That baby baboon didn't look like a new-born.

And we didn't see the mother baboon in a fight for her life. The attack scene was consistent with that of the baboon having been drugged before the catch took place.

Oh well, as long as it looked real enough for most people.

  • YG - you think the mother baboon was drugged? And you don't think the baby baboon looks like a newborn? have you ever seen a newborn baby baboon before.

Your off your meds again dear. This video was not staged, no animal was drugged and you are delusional.

  • I never said you were nasty. I said you were and are a LIAR.

Just like here on this video. I am QUITE aware of how to make documentary films, as I have done exactly that - being an animal behaviorist myself!

National Geographic does not permit the drugging of animals in their videos. If you had a brain, you would know that.

  • YG - do you know the difference between animation and reality? I did see both of these documentaries.

This National Geographic video is not animation. I feel like I am talking to a child with no grip on reality!

These animals in THIS video were not drugged - but there you go again, deflecting and ignoring your mistaken comments.

  • simple minded like a child - without a grip on reality - you left that part out.

Your comments show you to be footloose and careless with facts and evidence - in other words - pushing lies, and I might add - intentionally - as you did on that other video. You try to get people to question reality and truth by throwing in doubt. It's a sneaky ploy used by sneaky people.
