From the context, it would seem he's saying "make haste" since he just said "run away" right before it...something you do with haste. But nonetheless...it matters not what we think...Ben says "make hate". ;-)

The difference between the older albums and Dear Agony is the inspiration. Ben stopped drinking, so he has to come up with things without alcohol. I heard the album Dear Agony is suppose to be inspired mostly by the passing of his grandfather or maybe father. One of those. I like the new sound and the old. This stuff is fun to listen to. The newer stuff shows his aging and becoming a little more mature. Its all good though.
