don't forget too that andy had an off and on drinking problem the last few years as well. if you watch the story of what happened the last week or so before he died,he had been drinking vodka very heavily..in a stupor so to speak

depression,alcohol at the end but no drugs,but all that weakened his already cocaine damaged heart. a great talent truly missed,so many good song.

That's what I always say, don't blame anyone but the bastard L.A drug pushers for this young man's untimely death. He was vulnerable, sensitive and he used drugs to numb from the pain. He was clean before he died for a number of years apparently , but the past drug use and heartbreak over Victoria P was just too much for him.

I was one of the few fans who got too meet him... was like an accidental encounter, but well worth it, I was only 19 then... but he let me hang out with him for about 8 hours... then he had to go do some publicity activity. He is one in a million.. so sweet, such a good person, his heart was a rare treasure.... not too mention how gorgeous he was, but all Andy fans know that:) He didnt even complain when I kept "needing " hugs;) and when I touched his hair. To set the record straight,it wasn't a drug overdose that killed him. He died of myocarditis, a heart condition, at the John Radcliffe Hospital in England on March, 19, 1988. He was clean of drugs and had been for a couple of years. His heart was weakened due to his past drug use.

He was one of a kind. You're forever Young Andy!! You are missed!!!

@frogledy, I agree that it was not an overdose that killed him. But it was years of heavy cocaine use that killed him. Someone I know at work said he had a heart condition. I'm sure it was brought on by cocaine. The drugs are what killed him. Anybody who says the drugs had nothing to do with it are really just kidding themselves. He was a young man with so much living to do and the drugs killed him. He did get clean, but it was too late.
