Bollocks! Its music is based on traditional mazurka (mazurek) which has its pace given. If you feel like this towards Poland no wonder you never lived there.

"Based on" is the operative part of your phrase.

The anthem doesn't have to be played according to the pace of the mazurek. Music is about stirring people's imaginations and emotions, pace is just a means to an end.

My fault. I agree. It is not based on it. It is a mazurka in deed. Its propper name is Mazurek Dabrowskiego( was given to it before it gained national anthem status), so it has to be performed as one. I didnt mean to offend yours feelings to Poland but you butchered the piece paying no regard to its tempo anyway. So in stead of stirring ones minds it displaces content of their stomach.

Fair enough. We'll just have to agree to disagree, even if I understand your point, I still think that music isn't limited to a given tempo. If there was no pace at all, I'd agree with you about it displacing stomach content, but most Poles I know find this version (or tempo) quite moving.

those two are the same only Polish one has lyrics Marsh Marsh Dabrowski and a music for that. So Polish is just longer.

Klasa. Nadaje się na jakieś uroczystości. Byłoby właściwie ale też trochę na nowoczesną nutę (nie mówię, że należy rezygnować ze starych sposobów odgrywania hymnu bo sam te starsze sposoby lubię ale jakiś nowy sposób np. na gitarze jak widać może być świetny).

i am crying not because i am sad but my grandpa on my father side &both my grandparents on my mother side were born in warsaw. Zadia immigrated to Canada then my Bubbi followed this was before ww2 as a matter of fact ww1 ended my grandpa on my dad side was in Canada during world war 1 as for my grandmother she was born on the tzarist-polish border she immigrated to the usa when she was a baby so i am polish - russian background GOD BLESS POLAND MAY THE FLAG WAVE PROUDLY
