  • Ingrid was the quitessential vampire. One would really embrace damnation if the agents therreof were as seductive as she was. it was shocking to hear about her death. Especially so because i had interesting correspondence with her recently which included a poem of mine on her which pleased her immensely I dare say as she wrote to me.

  • Jesus...I just typed her name into Google, & up came her her death, & I'm like WTF?!

Being an old Hammer film nut, I am deeply saddened, she was (always will be) a beautiful woman, she certainly left her mark, & she will be missed.

    Long live Hammer Films.....RIP: Ingrid

  • I never appreciated women vampires til i saw Vampire Lovers. She redefines seduction with a class..even straight women will give in....A great contribution to the world of Horror FIlms..

  • Ingrid, you were my very first pin-up... RIP XXXXXXXXX

  • I really loved this beautiful and talented actress!

    I will miss her.

  • I miss you Ingrid. What is really surreal is that you passed away on the 47th aniversary of Doctor Who.

  • A true Star...R.I.P Ingrid you will be missed by millions

  • I am very saddened by the passing of the lovely Ms. Pitt. I adored her in Countess Dracula and was enraptured by her in The Vampire Lovers. A true icon amongst horror film fans, she will be missed but will live on in the hearts of those who love the macabre. R.I.P my dear.

  • She was great and always will be.

    Descanse em paz, Condessa.

  • I am so sad to hear the lovely and talented Miss Pitt has died. R.I. P. Carmilla. You will love on forever in film.

  • Damn' - I didn't know she was dead.

    Ingrid Pitt was MAGNIFICENT!!

Apart from her more obvious attractions she had a ridiculously sexy nose.

The stable scene was from 'Countess Dracula" is, ahem, still 'in the bank' to this day.

During the '80's I had a girlfriend who was a completely ditzy P.I.T.A.

but I tolerated her for 3 long years just because she bore a striking resemblance to Ingrid Pitt!!

    RIP

  • and what a disguise!! one of the best lines of the film

  • I met Ingrid about ten years ago. She was a very nice woman and will be greatly missed. Among her other credits were two Doctor Who serials "The Time Monster" and "Warriors of the Deep" as well as writing an abandoned script "The Macro Men" with her husband, which was recently adapted for audio.

    R.I.P.

  • very very sad , she was gorgeous.

  • So sad to hear this news. Thank you for the video tribute.
