  • CORRECTION: I didn't use a 120ohm speaker and remember but rather I used a small speaker that I had available at the time and could barley hear anything!!!

  • Yes, but in my case I used the PC speakers as an amplifier!

It's connected the same as in demo mode with exception of using a plug into my pc and to the breadboard.

  • When connecting it to a PIC uC.. Tht is interfacing via Serial communication.. Can I just have the speakers connected like in demo mode without using an amplier as mentioned in the datasheet?

  • @abby0910 The reason why I used the pc speakers(mic jack) is because I could barley hear the sounds in test mode (with the small speaker).

  • Nice! some of those sounds reminded me of R2-D2. Once I get an arduino, I may have to get one of these chips to play with.

  • Thanks! That gives me a much better idea of what the chip can really do. It seems like a nice chip for voice simulation. Much

  • Could you use this to simulate sounds of a

    steam locomotive?
