This was the era where being a spy was the epitome of coolness. From the big screen adventures of James Bond to the small screen escapades of "UNCLE", "The Avengers", "Mission: Impossible", "I Spy", "Danger Man" & "The Wild Wild West"
Spies were seen by the public as smart, sophisicated, daring and brave. Of course the reality of this image would take on a far more darker tone much later on with programs like "Spooks" & "24" which would show just how terrifying the intelligence world really is
Old Robert Vaughn as Napoleon Solo was so cool in those days, with that unmistakable 'silky' voice of his! But I gather that it was David McCallum who got the most fan mail. Apparentlly he was given much more of a significant role due to his surprising popularity.

@TheJomogogo A lawyer said he really believed there is a such a thing as uncle because they say they acnledge their cooperation in the closing credits but i dont believe in it maybe you can tell me what THRUSH stands for if your not making this up
Definitely there should be a remake of Man from UNCLE. Waverly should be done by Anthony Hopkins. Adrian Pasdar should be Napoleon Solo. Somebody suggested Owen Wilson for Kuryakin. Because of the straight blond hair? But can he do a convincing russian accent? I can't think of anyone else in that role, but Owen Wilson? Probably not.
@wschuler77 I HATE all that shit of trying to remake JUST by finding perceived 'lookalikes' ; what's the point ? ; ALL of them have been complete CRAP
wow i forgot all about this show. it was my favorite show as a kid i was watching NCSI and saw and recognised david macallum ;; i waited for the credits to roll to see if it was really him i havent seen him in i suppose its like 40 years i didnt bother to do the math ..its amazing i knew it was him
Solo and Kuryakin pursue Gervaise Ravel and Harold Bufferton, the surviving conspirators of The Quadripartite Affair. To draw them out of hiding, Solo will use Marion Raven as bait and utilize a variation of the Guioco Piano chess gambit to make the operation a success.
my middle name is illya. my mum told me i was named after the man from uncle. apparrently this was her favourite show back in the day. im 37 now. love ya mum.

Is the dry cleaner the ONLY entrance/exit? Sooner or later, someone is going to notice that a little dry cleaner is getting a great deal of traffic.

There is a scene in an older NCIS episode when Kate asks Jethro what Ducky looked like when he was young. Gibbs replies: "Illya Kuryakin"

I was an UNCLE agent back then, Solo and Kuryakin were considered loose cannons, nobody wanted to work with them.
Now I run a tailor shop in NYC.
