  • I love her singing here. NO ONE else can sing this exquisite song like she does (and I just finished drying my eyes and blowing my nose). BUT: I have to say, I don't like her videos. When the lyrics mention "snow", fake snow suddenly starts falling. When it's "leaves", prop leaves blow in the door. Oy vey, it's just too obvious! I am sure "leaves" are meant to symbolize the life cycle: they burst out green, mature, turn vivid colors, dry out, die. I think Sondheim would hit his head on the wall.

  • Can we say: "PERFECTION?"

  • i DO love CLEO!!!!! greatest!!!!

  • One of my fave Sondheim songs...I love Cleo

  • Princess Puffer!

  • Beautiful -- as always! Thank you.

  • Cleo sounds and looks so lovely...a true original...always sounds like no one else.

  • I agree... I don't know why people gave you thumbs down for telling the truth. This song is supposed to be heart wrenching but i don't feel that with her version. Her voice is lovely but the pain isn't there behind her eyes like it should.

  • Cleo sang this song long before Barbra.

  • But in all fairness, it's very difficult for such a surgically enhanced face to show emotion. Maybe his is why Barbra has always resisted the temptation.

  • From Evening Primrose by Sondheim. Beautiful but I miss the dynamics of the song a bit in this rendition.

  • Would love to know what these were from? Time frame?

    Great stuff!

  • Thank you Mr Wo for bringing cleo to YouTube! This one is a knockout!

  • just lovely!

if Cleo Laine didnt exist, we would have to invent her! she's so wonderful!
