It seems most of the horrible country comes from these new, up and coming artists that try to appeal to the younger crowd by making their music sound like pop. Not all new country music is trash, but a good majority of it is...

Phil Vassar has written so many country songs that have been recorded by other artists, but when I bought Phil's CD of him performing his own songs about 4 years ago, I was just completely floored. What a talent! Why is Phil Vassar not at the forefront of country music today? I'm going to go out on a limb here--Kenny Chesney's good, but Phil Vassar is great.

My sister's name at that time was VICKIE MARSHALL. Over 400 students graduated in my sister's class that year. I really wonder how those 2 people can look at themselves in the mirror, even after all this time has gone by. Why should students have to be victims of small town politics? My sister was a fraction of a point, from scoring higher, so they said. So it was the teacher's daughter who was valvictorian, and salutitorian was her next door neighbor. The next door nrighbor opened up her mouth and told everyone that they studied the test. The vocal queen could not be quiet about it. My sister and another girl got cheated out. So my sister goes to her reunion. She's all in red, with her tan. My sister had the highest GPA in her class and was not Valvictorian. SO WRONG.

This song reminds me of my sister. She was 4.0 from the first grade till the day she graduated from college. She got cheated out of being Valvictorian at Nederlan High School in 1978. The English teacher's kid became Valvictorian. The teacher's kid had been taking easy subjects. As for my sister, they ran out of math classes for her. She was taking college courses in high school. They had to take a test. The teacher's daughter and the next door neighbor studied the test the night before.
