@Raubnced That would be good for a multiplayer maze trap but not in single player because a block of TNT is made of 5 Gunpowders and you would have to kill lots of creepers to get the Gunpowder...

@Khatnamurun also you can open wooden doors by right clicking them so iron doors are better with stone pressure plates so they can't throw an item in there and bugger it up

i use stone pressure plates, and i pour some water on top. its entertaining to see them drown! of course i close the top. and also i made it with iron doors and obsidian on top in multiplayer and some ppl(mostly noobs) died in it, but few of them would just break the pressure plate and get out. water makes it impossible to break the doors before you drown so it sometimes works on humans! :D

Would be improved by using an iron pressure plate, the wood one would have the shortcoming of if the items dropping from the mob land on the wood pressure plate, the doors will stay shut until it decays, or you break a door. An iron pressure plate only responds to players or mobs on it, and doesn't trigger when items are dropped on it...
