Dude it's more smooth than most hand drawn series even though there are some parts where they cut back on animation, but that's normal for h'drawn animes

But this trailer, they only drew half of the frames on computer and then let the computer draw the rest. They didn't put as much heart or soul into making it, and Berserk deserves more.

Commercial computers can never beat the hand of a Japanese Animator.

Gackt's in this?! Is he going to voice Guts I wonder? Still, Berserk attracts my curiosity due to its fairytale-like setting (albeit a very adult and cynical fairyale....and I like those type of stories), but I'm too lazy the read the whole manga. So, I'm very much looking forward to this anime.

I don't know if it is the best Fantasy Story, but berserk certainly is to me. I hope the next Manga volume comes out soon. And i hope this new Anime series covers the entire manga exactly. Without leaving any details out.

@foxhound1970 Actually, issue 35 came with a wraparound paper announcing a new anime project. As to what studio is producing it or any details at all other than the announcement is unknown, as of yet. (it has, however, long been rumored ever since the surfacing of the so-called "leaked berserk anime pictures" from 2009 that Studio 4°C is in charge of the project)

Stuff like that is actually very common nowadays for objects physical objects like vehicles or amour, which move.

The dudes behind Gits: SAC explained that this makes it far easier to animate inanimate objects because they can stay consistently proportioned and shaped without an immense amount of time being done to examine each frame.

Essentially, now more time can be spent on making the characters animate well and fluid, while detailed parts of armor will always be consistent.

hey i read in a blog that it is our job to keep this going. bleach is ten episodes away from 300, one piece and narrator both have over 400 and one piece coping out at over 500. this can happen for berserk if we just get the word out enough. we get enough fans and enough people who know about and talk about it. any body you know that like gore or intricate stories or awesomeness tell them about berserk so it stays classic.

Yeah, there's nothing in Japanese worth mentioning. The text on screen says "Berserk begins" and the narration is "Berserk that has never been seen before". Then the end is an ad for Volume 35 that's just going on sale.

Chances are it'll be released as an OVA on BluRay/DVD. The Hellsing Ultimate series have lots of blood and gore and those were released on DVD as well initially IIRC.
