Hi Ali baba. this replacement is fantastic. but how can I replace exactly the color I want? For example I have 2 pictures. In one pic I have a yellow flower and on the second pic I have a woman with the green cloth. and I want to change the color of both picture Red But exactly same red. Then what can I do?

Because the way you replace is depend in your gray and darkness of the color that you have.

I'll be appreciate that if you help me by this question.

I had a question, the video is very helpful! but I have a picture with a blue-aqua background and I want to just change to white, and when I select white as the color to replace it with, it changes to grey. How can turn my background white?

great video man!!....i been using the program black magic for this kinda stuff but i do like how on photoshop has more color options. On black magic though there is this special eraser that when u go over things with it, it changes the spots back to how they originally looked on the photo....so like if i color replaced something and it went out of the lines a bit (B&W photo) i could use this eraser to fix the spots i messed up on for example. Does photoshop have anything similar to this? Thanks

I've always wanted to use this tool but I every time I did, I never got the colour I wanted, ifI used black, it would come out grey, red would come out pink, is there any settings I should be aware of when using this tool or is it to do with the file type??

When I use this tool, sometimes the color doesn't seem to transfer as I would expect. Often the final color seems to be a lot lighter than the color I expected. Any idea what is going on or how to avoid this problem?

Hey DougGirard, thanks for your comment. Getting the exact color can be tricky, it all depends on what color your picture is. You can adjust more using the hue and saturation, this will allow you home in on the color you want to use. Let me know how you get on

If I using the tool on a dark brown color it replaces it the way I want it. If I use it over a light brown color the resulting color if the very light "hazy" color. How do I get it where the light brown is replaced the same way the dark brown is?

I used the tool yesterday for changing the color of something it it worked fine. Now I am trying to do the same thing but the color is almost a haze. It is not as dark as it should be. The color swatch is the exact same though. My mode is Color, I am using background sampling with the background color selected using the eyedropper. Limits are set to contiguous. Tolerance to 18%. What did I do wrong?

Hey coltscomputers, are you using it on the same image or a different one, sometimes the effect that worked on one does not work on another because of different colors. Another technique would be to paint over the selection with the brush tool on a new layer and then change the blending mode of that layer to something like overlay. Let me know how you get on

1-how cud i fix the brush size automatically on windows.i tried to using ] and [ but didn t work

2-plus, when i look at instructers brush tool which iz normally at the top left corner, i realize that they d changed the brush shapes to another -which seems round in fact- so how cud i change it 2

3-blending options are important?cause i didn t notice a difference after making changes.

Hey sinancans , cheers for the message. What color are you trying to put on. It has a lot to do with the color of the item and the color you are trying to change it to. There are a few other ways of getting tru colors and that is using hue and saturation instead, it all depends on the picture. The edges will get you close to the edge, but sometimes it gets dark edges so play gentle. Thanks sinancans

If want to color something white, it dosen't work so well, it gets greyish color look, any advices?

Maybe worth trying hue and saturation instead. Sometimes this technique works. Let me know how you get on.
