I would say, that as Americans it is far more important that we condemn US-Israeli atrocities than it is for us to condemn atrocities by the enemies of the US and Israel (such as Hamas, etc.). As Americans, we are far more responsible for US-Israeli crimes than we are for the crimes of others and can do much more to prevent them. That's why I feel these people on the pro-Israel side are demonstrating out of nationalistic pride rather than concern for human life.

A note for the pro-Israelis: an increase in the standard of living is no justification for a morally unjust system, be that system colonialism, occupation, chattel slavery, or wage slavery. Africans lived much better as chattel slaves in the American South than they did living in tribes in Africa - is that a justification for slavery? It's the same thing here. Saying that Israeli needs to be supported because it has more liberty than Arab countries is not a moral argument.
