oh look a F/A-15. those are ok jets. they look very close to the F/A-18E. but they cockpit lay out is different and the surfaces are somewhat different good video though.

@johnwelbeck Hi! I don't remeber well, but you select the aim 7, and set your radar to "air to air" mode with the pageup or pagedown. :) each planes have 2 or 3 radar modes.... air to air, surface... and so on.

Dude,why my game doesnt support that kind of camera view? I did have assigned the keys i still dont get like yours.all i do is from mouse and after 2-3 seconds it brings back. and I have patched it to latest one from their website.

Nice video. BTW, you might find that your ACM experience improves drastically if you hit "Cntrl-D" at the start of the fight and punch off those drop tanks.

@95Jae Hey, we've all got to start somewhere, right? Welcome to flying! First, go to "Options" and "Gameplay" and select "Customize" under "Controls." Then print out that list if you can, or write the really important commands down. As for the basics of flight, it's too much to explain here but if you've got less than 250 knots airspeed on any of these jets it isn't going to fly very well. Try to maneuver at 300 knots or better.

@Breakerchase yup they are, they are more of a sim-lite than an actual flight sim like falcon4 for example. they are tremendous fun if you are not a button pusher / realism freak / homepit builder.

One question.. Why the HELL are the soviets still using mig 21s?? At the point the game is set, they are already -horribly- outdated, and no match for any US fighter of the time. Lemme guess. They also use mig 17s? That would complete the circle of stupidity.

actually, the countries of the Warsaw pact (not necessarily russia) still used mig 17,19 and 21. mig 21 has been in production until 1990. romania still use it.

@NSFThunderbird. Both Russia/USSR, and some of its allies in the warsaw pact actually used the mig 21 in the period. Russia first retired thier mig21s in the 90s according to wikipedia.

3) F-4 2000 is deeply modernized F-4 Phantom and jumped from 2nd gen fighter to 4th gen fighter and is still in service in one of the best Air Forces in the World, in Israeli AF.

With same kind of modernizations of MiG-21 for Indian AF, MiG-21 became a 4th gen fighter.

4) It also depends on geo-political goals that country has and neighbours around it. T-34 and MiG-21 can be effective weapons in Kenya, since its neighbors still has arrows and bows...

@NSFThunderbird There are three campaings in Wings over Europe. 1962, 1968 and 1979.  MiG-21MFs, the latest version, show up in 1979, but more often than not they're either East German or Polish. Most of the Soviet fighters are MiG-23 M's, the best Soviet frontline fighter of the time.

first when you target a plane make sure it's on the box thing.

then Press Enter when ready and close.

You can configure it at the options menu. to change the weapon press Backspace.
