I believe that is a choke hold my friend, but the way I would get out of that is to fish hook the shit out of his under jaw he'll let go. Pressure points work best on your friends not gouge there eyes out. Lol good vid though

sometimes effective because most of the time if you are being choked, your hands will usually try to pull the assailants arm from your neck instinctively and if the attacker has his forearm and bicep on your carotid you will not be able to think and react and execute the eye gouge,

Well, that's not always able to happen... He can easily suspect that coming and move his head away, I hav a technique that could work a lot more effectively, only it's too hard to describe it here....

if someone has you in a head lock, turn your face into thier body so they cant choke you, then place your hand on the small of their back, slip your free hand through thier lock (its alot easier than it sounds) to free the lock then push them over on thier back, swift grown kick, walk off lol

if a friend put you in a headlock and you want to get out of this without severely injuring him, i'de go for a shin kick, they lose their footing by eather getting hit or dodging it, then flip them over your body.

if it's just some run of the mill asshole you could try elbowing him in the ribs as hard as you can if you can manage it, then flip him.

as far as i know these are a couple of the only ways to get out of this without injuring the other person severly. =\

Bit different when your actually fighting a real person, just like any demonstration, they can help real life situations, but they can fail to help you if the other person is better than you i.e. if someome put you in a headlock for real in that position you can be out cold within 3-10 seconds.
