i agree with powerstripe..... as you know heat rises and when the heat rises it goes to the cpu heatsink as you may know is why you get the rrod is by overheating of cpu.... so it rises and overheats cpu... if its laying down then it just goes to the top of the case to get out on the side vents without overheating anything
