  • This is the Huey P. Long Bridge in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.

  • where is this bridge at?

  • holy crap I held my breath for that whole video

  • Wow this was so close gotta love New York :)))

  • You know you are a marine when you want to see how long you can climb on the radar and "hold on"... that would be fun.

  • Let me tell you, I am on the ship, and I was on it twice when it had to clear that bridge in New Orleans, it was RIDICULOUS!!! But we made it, and yes we have ballast tanks on it, we had to fill them up almost to max to get under that bridge.

  • @lipsofanangel2184 there's another trick they could have used I think. If the ship drives at max speed, it has an effect of sucking the ship into the water, so they had some space left I guess.

  • Awesome! The NewYork must have ballast bladders.... Large enough to raise her displacement to clear low obstacles. In the video I don't see her "red line" giving me the impression that it must be below the water line.

  • Beautiful ship enough said

  • i wonder what kind of fire power she has?

  • Insane fire power i was on it today it is completely insane they are acctually putting it into service in iraq

  • @mitsubishidiamante

the ship itself has got a total of 42 infrared surface to air missiles against aircraft and 2 Bushmaster 30mm guns and couple of 50cal's stationed around the ship
