I saw this movie in 99 when i was 18 and rented it, it blew me away. One of my faves since then and a kickass comic book movie that is probably one of the goriest movies i've ever seen. This movie is like Ichi The Killer, The Great Escape, Fist of the North Star and Battle Royale all rolled into one kickass package. This must have influenced Kill Bill

I think this is one of those, "so bad it's good" movies. It's a terrible movie, yet it's fun to watch. Especially if you have friends over to make fun of it with you.

Seeing as there wasn't a kitchen fight scene in Fist of the North Star, I would have to disagree. Also the bad guy didn't explode when he got punched.
