I have this same guitar and may I say I LOVE IT. I get better tone and it feels more comfortable than some U.S models. I have to say though its weird watching someone else play the same guitar I have. It really is a great buy.

hey dude. I think they were DESIGNED by CS but not made by them. but don't get frigthened by that, is a GREAT guitar! i had one before, but i sold it. so now im gonna buy a new one. simply because i love it so much.
@psychoschna. The first years of production came with "Custom Shop 69 pickups", the same ones you can buy from the custom shop, initialized by Abigail Ybarra. I have one. The later production came with "Custom 69 pickups" which are
not the custom shop ones anymore, but intended to be the same, I haven't tried one with those. The one in this video is the older one with custom shop pickups stock

I've yet to plug it into my amp. Thanks for giving me some audio samples! I did play it, however and it sounds great unplugged, something I've always used to gauge a guitar's quality. If it sounds good uplugged, it has never disappointed me plugged in!
i have this same guitar, love the sound but couple of weeks ago weird thing started to happen, after the high e string broke every other e string i put there broke within minutes usually at the top close to the action but i cant figure out whats the cause
a guy i know at work's a really really good guitar player and he was telling me that he had a custom shop strat and he got one of these to do live gig's with (to save his custom shop getting beat up??) and he said that he liked this one soooo much he got sold the custom shop one!!!!!!! great video!! it helped me decide to get one!!!!!!!! thanks!!!
yep, thats the only bummer... I had to do a setup on mine.... actually lowered the action too much... have to adj. again... I love the neck on this thing.. thats what sold me... I'm torn on the pickups, but I havent used it at a practice or gig yet... I'm waiting to wire the tone to the bridge.... p/u's are noisy compared to my other gutars... but not bad mild medium gain... I only played two and the other one was a dog.. hopefully yours will not be.. anyhow, I got mine for $600 blem at gc
still to do a little more of a setup, also, need to mod the tone controls , but other than that its a good deal.. I like this one better than the new american standards...

they're built to custom shop '69 specs in mexico factory. they're not exactly the same and dont have the custom shop sticker on them

But problem is, the strings setup height between the fretboard is high, i can't set it to low.. Any advised on this.. :(
