@mesyamsul Full Cloth is actually an upgraded X1/X3 combined. Tobia gets the X1 Skull Heart after Crossbone ends, which is the X1 customized for his use. After it is damaged, Umon mishmashes the X3 parts and the Skull Heart to make the X1 Patchwork. It is then upgraded to the X1 Skull Heart, the power of X1 + X3 combined + more add ons. The add-on cloth is meant to replace the anti-beam cloak which only can block a few beam shots, but the full cloth has almost unlimited use.
@mesyamsul Fullcloth is an upgrade for the Crossbone X-1 kaikai skull heart. Kinkado/Seabook gave the X-1 Kai to Tobia at the end of Crossbone and then Tobia upgraded it twice resulting in Full Cloth
apparently, turn a units use I-field as some sort of propulsion. According to Mahq, the unit's operational weight is LIGHTER than it's empty weight. >.>
yes it uses i-field to move, fly and protect it self. it is presumed that some how the newtypes found a way to keep using i-field without overheating it.
beam shields can be penetrated by the VSBR and also by the main cannons of a battle ship an i field on the other hand will deflect all incomming beams the X3 can even use his i field hands to block a beam sword and grap trough a beam schield
Turn A using i-field? er... I-field is for defense, and Turn A uses some different lost technology to fly. I-field doesn't cause butterfly-esque fields...
it is i-field, turn a uses it for propulsion and defense. it can also use nano machines for increased speed when flying thats why you see butterfly-esque fields. don't believe read the official manga.
Ok, turns out you were right. What I was talking about was I-field barrier generator. Turn A's propulsion is I-field beam drive system. Though it is different system, both use I-field. And no, I have not read the Turn A manga. just watched the Turn A anime.
@octoslut Nu Gundam's ability was more like a beam shield In function and appearance. Until Turn A rolls around I-fields are primarily used a s an anti-beam barrier. This is a broader definition than one might think, as weaker I-fields are used in most beam weapons to some degree. (holding the beam energy inside a saber or acting as a pseudo-barrel lining in a rifle.)
Turn A is simply a strange series tech-wise, being set hundreds (or thousands) of years in the future allows that.
@octoslut: Allow me to refer you to this line from MAHQ's Profile on the Nu Gundam
"in addition to serving as remote beam weapons, they could also be used in geometric formations to create a "beam barrier", offering a target 360 degrees of protection against most weapons fire."
no official source has ever called this an I-field nor Is an I-field ever made visible much less given the pale pink coloring seen there.
At 0:36, a CHESTO! shout would have caused the Divinidad to immediately explode.

XB-X3's coloring is nice!!

X3 is the standar size gundam built in I-field on its hands. activated time is 105 seconds, cool time is 2 minutes thus left 15 seconds defenceless.

@Astroranagun what about Crossbone Fullcloth? maybe just upgraded (add-on cloth) for X3?

I thought around U.C. 0133, I-Field was outdated technology. I guess not.
Kanuskiz 2 years ago
antic... (maybe) :)
mesyamsul 2 years ago
@Kanuskiz Actually I-field is still viable in 133. Its only that in 0079 only big honking MA could use them.
aliastheabnormal 2 years ago
I see... I guess I-field still has its uses, even though Beam Shield was developed at least by the time of Crossbone Vanguards invasion in U.C. 0123.

@heeroyuy11
yes i-field are superior to beam shields but they have limit, too many beams or a powerful beam will destroy the i-field barrier.
octoslut 1 year ago
mabye they experimented the I -field and made it better? Like how The original gundam had that beam rifle and later they still use it alot?
StoreWar1 2 years ago
@Kanuskiz
hell no
turn a gundam uses the same i-field tech to fly.

that system is some god poop like it is used for flying and same time protecting it from beams :/

@octoslut
I dunno about Turn A, but I think I-field was only used as barrier for Big Zam and Dendrobium Orchis since they had separate thrusters.
Kanuskiz 1 year ago
@Kanuskiz
turn units have the ulimate uc, other universe tech in it. i-field is different for all, eg: nu gundam i-field blocks ballistic weapons as well.

nu gundam's i-field was just unique. Turn A is just to overpowered and has magical stuff.
