Theres no way you can put BEEF DRIPPING straight in your tank, even in summer even if it was a heatwave, you would have to have a heated tank, pipes etc and be ready to change your filter after that journey.Veg oil will work for 100% BUT NOT LARD/DRIPPING/OR TALLOW in its raw unfiltered, untreated form. You even hear the guy at the Chippy say i use dripping not oil cos he knows that other people have said to him oh its no good and not picked it up.He was always brought up to tell the truth?
That first lot poured in to the tank had been processed , way too clean & thin for straight waste . The second jugful shows the true state of waste oil , cloudy & thick . Oh and you must register with HMRC , keep records BUT you only pay the duty after you have made more than 2500 lt for PERSONAL use not business . typical skimping on the truth again johhny :(
Not without filtering and de-watering it, unless you enjoy clogged fuel filters.
Another point to note is that only older indirect injection diesels, such as the Mercedes featured, will run on straight vegetable oil without modifications, and even then there are so many variables (such as make of fuel pump) - you have to make sure your car is 'right'.
That is absolutely amazing!! Literally one of the most amzing things I've seen in awhile> I always thought that to run a car on bio-diesel (ala Willie Nelson's tour bus) you had to have a special type of diesel engine with all kinds of modifications to it. I never knew you could literally just POUR vegetable oil into the gas tank and drive away!! I wonder if the performance is any worse. I have a decent automotive knowledge and never knew this. I just might get an old diesel and run it for free.
Ive been driving my old W115 merc now 6 months with veg.oils. In the summer it is ok to use directly but in the winter i have blended it with lye and methanol... and biodiesel. Ofcourse, it is illegal to use here too.
damn right they're too damn greedy, just like down here in France, they're trying to keep the word down because they're making huge money on gas taxes. French manufacturers sell LPG cars outside of France but not on the domestic market, guess who's to blame?

This video is terrible - you can't simply chuck used vegetable oil straight into your car.
You certainly can't put beef drippings straight into your tank.
It won't kill your car, but it means the fuel system will get clogged up if you don't carefully de-water and filter what's going into it.
