You can see it in different breeds but i will give you an example. Rottweiler were bred for hunting and obedience. The ones that were bred for the hunting the german Rottie has a higher pray drive and the one for obedience that was manly bred in holland were very good gentle dogs.

I still say that owning 3 well behaved animals of a particular breed does not necessarily say anything about the breed in general. I don't particularly like dogs, but I haven't had any traumatic experiences with them.
