You have to listen to No One To Depend On right after this. On the 3rd album, they meshed the songs together. But on You tube they are separated. A great album from Carlos. Saw him twice in concert and got his autograph when I worked at a large hotel in my hometown. Even got backstage passes!
I first heard this track more than 35 years ago, when my dad got the vinyl home. After all these years, it still sounds great, and kind of reinforces my belief that American rock is far superior to anything the brits can churn out
@namitgee there wouldn't be "american rock" as you know it if it wasn't for The Beatles, classick 50's rock was dead in the early 60's, there wouldn't have been a revolution in music if it wasn't for them taking rock and other styles and inventing something completly different that inspired other artists in the 60s.
@kainthevampireduck Am not to sure about that. Black music was emerging those days and it would have just been a matter of time before guitar god Jimi Hendrix came to the scene. I'm not saying the world would be not be poorer without the Beatles. Their contribution can hardly be undermined. I just made a simple statement -- American rock is better. That's all. Who influenced it and how is irrelevant
Grammy back then
