  • Oh my, wow, how much do i love this song...

I remember when I was a teenager on a practical course in an audio- and tv-shop - that was in the late 80's. During the lunchtime I stole myself into the hifi-studio and placed the fgth tape in one of the expensive hifi-systems..... oh god, this was so fantastic!

I think, this is one of the best and perfectly mixed maxi-sounds ever - well, that were the 80ies.... ;-)

  • Such a shame that they didn't last long. Frankies music was awesome!

  • This is powerful music!!!!!

  • THE BUSINESS YOU FACKING SHLAG

  • Brilliant music never dates. The produce still sounds incredible !

    ....UNBEATABLE!!!

and like user TheKhaibear said:FUCKIN EPIC!

  • Beautiful and impactful!

  • Fucking EPIC!!!!!

  • I received the tape for my Christmas 85 present. I cherish it and if there was a fire in my house...? After my kids..I would save my tape.

  • One of the first CDs I ever bought when CDs came out.. sounded great then..

  • A generation too early, but there were some of us in the early Eighties that were hit by this band like a ton of bricks and it somehow got into our DNA. The young of today would be falling over themselves for this music if FGTH came on the scene today. Timeless.

  • Strong, as cathedral erect on top of the pop music. Thank you Mr Trevor!

    Thanks for uploading it!

  • great track from a great decade , walks all over the carp we are bombarded with nowadays !

  • stunning track from a stunning decade... really treads over all the carp we are bombarded with these days !

  • I like the bit starting at 12:09, then there's a wonderful yell at 12:18 ! Damn, it sounds like they're having fun. What an incredible performance and production!

  • The writing is great, the arrangement is superb and the vocals are terrific but its that bubbling, pounding, rolling, driving rhythm sounding like a perpetual motion machine that gets you every time

  • It's wild to think that Steve Howe of Yes played acoustic guitar on this tune. I think that Trevor Rabin of an alternate Yes version played electric.

  • The Business <3

  • I might only be 14, but this is my kind of music.

  • @polskaRed you've got good taste

  • This has got to be the best mix from the Kings of the '80's 12" Extended Mix !!! :-D X x x

  • Yiihaa. Thanx so much for this!! I remember I also did that, play parts of the album on 45 in stead of 78 rpm's. If only YouTube would give such a feature :) Great hearing this full length album version back again, has been a very long time. Still a devastating piece of work! Thanx and respect

  • check this out people , wow - my girlfriend brought me the ministry of sound 3 disc 80,s electronic cds for christmas and as a rsult i am rediscovering several bands from the 80,s which i did not give a toss for at the time , fgth is one , the other is soft cell.

i urge you all to check out the soft cell live 2 - disc cd , what a corker , you realise what great stuff almond + ball came up with as well as their recent stuff.

it is fantastic , check it out , trust me it will not dissappoint.

  • My first LP! thanks so much for uploading the original version!

  • @NadezdaKrupskaja It was my first LP as well. I always remember wishing the days away for it's release date then catching the bus to Sheffield town centre and picking up my copy from HMV. When i got home i put the LP on, and like an idiot i only played this first track at 45 speed instead of 78, and wondered why Frankie had done a strange first track for the album. Fond memories :)

  • 33 not 78

  • LP ran with 33 not 78

  • @p4w3l7 My god, you aint half sad!

  • @NadezdaKrupskaja LP ran with 33 1/3; not 78 :D

  • @HOLLYwoodgoesFRANKIE LP ran with 33 1/3; not 78 :D

  • Fantastic. I've been looking for this for a while. Proof that music has been in terminal decline since 1984.

  • Fantastic. I've been looking for this for a while

  • I think this version is the best out the lot!!!

  • this is one hell of a song and the guitar playing was fab!!!!

  • No, jest kawał piosenki.

  • Chooner rooney

  • The came, they saw and they conquered....then they went as fast as they arrived. Amazing while it lasted...been nothing quite like them since really. Trevor Horn gave them all of the tools on this one and they used the lot....timeless classic!!

  • I had to play 5 different versions of this song on Youtube before I found this one - the original - the best one by far - definitely one of the great albums of the 80's - this group was so talented - too bad they couldn't put out more albums like this ....

  • @kozseluham I was 16. The hype and buzz was INCREDIBLE. I think that overhyping this song as a single got to everyone concerned when it didn't get to number one spring of '85. It was a real disappointment seeing the band disappear that rainy, awful summer. I think it would be Oasis, a whole decade later, that would generate something as amazing.

  • @kozseluham

    Liverpool!

  • @kozseluham if your gonna be a one hit wonder might as well make it a good orgasm

  • Respond to this video... I lived in Broadstairs England when this album was cut WOW !!! strange world

  • Ha!

  • This track is legendary one. I think that this original version is the most splendid. A splendid Vocals, Basses, Keyboards, Guitars, ...the Arrangement...2ch. Mix-Down...Mastering...Great Sound.

Trevor Horn is a true genius. Anne Dudley, too. MASTERPIECE!!!
