@NathanCipher the video mode of the mkii does the same pretty much. however having full frame makes the quality alot better on the mkii. also the mkii has better low light due to this. also the lens choice matters alot

You have actually mad an interesting point in your description. For Youtube, you are Encoding at 720p and 8mb. Why are you not encoding at 1080p and is 8mb the maximum that Youtube plays back?

As far as Youtube policy goes, many media players, including new Samsung TVs, play Youtube directly from the web - nothing illegal here. I can legally view the HQ22 (720P) but the everage user can only see 854x480 with the 'HD button.

I played this on a 50"Panny 850 Plasma via the new Noontec A6 player and HDMI.

As far as HD goes, it looks rubbish. 854x480 is more like run of the mill SD. Lack of detail and motion blur.

People should stop calling their SD stuff 1080P.

1080p was uploaded to youtube. If you watch with the HD button enabled it plays back a 720p version. youtube should have a 1080p clip re-compressed from this footage when they get around to it. At this time there is no legal way to download HD clips from youtube, even with free or paid clips.
