I think sometimes it is important to have someone escort a model to a photo shoot, especially if the model is going to be nude and has never worked with the photographer before. Photographers should put themselves in the models shoes. The model (usually a young woman) will go to a strange location, to meet a strange man they never met before, possibly far from "help" and then be totally nude in front of them. Can you see why a lot of models would like a friend or partner along for support?
