One reason I used like John Stossel was that he always played devil's advocate and didn't take sides as much; it lent a feeling of objectivity to his show. But now he says things like "We didn't cut firefighters in half; it's like you're robbing our future", it's just going to turn away the people who need to hear this the most.
I still love Stossel, though. Maybe not as much as before.
Statistics are meaningless. The economics of the public sector and unions is irrefutable. Just look at what happened to Vallejo, Ca as they mentioned. Doesn't matter how long it took the town to go brankrupt, it showed very clearly that following such a fiscal policy will in fact bankrupt a town. It's not a matter of if but rather just when.
