good flying, dont be afraid to step out on that side walk and really get into the flying, go inverted when you feel your ready dont rush things cuz that just gets you to waist money on parts. Also did your wife have the cam on a tripod? very shaking...loosen the hinge on it?
Man! That thing piros pretty quick! I just ordered one and am waiting for it to arrive. I've gotten pretty good with he cx2 doing multiple piros in close quarters so I'm stepping i tup a bit! I hope this bird is more stable than the cp tho! nice flying!
Ahaha the cx2 is that co-axle helo right? sorry to put a downer in your day but flying a cx2 is VERY different to flying a 6ch fully capable helo, and thats saying it in a nice way :D Well anyway if you have the money and the patience... If you every get fed up with it send it to me and ill make good use of it:D
Oh and send it to me and ill fix it up for a small price :D
Hey nice video. Lower your gyro sense a bit. Than the tailshaking will stop. In Sims are mostly big helis simulated. I trained with Reflex an now fly a Trex 600. Its not far more difficult...
If you can fly the Blade cx/2 Well and I mean WELL! you are ready for this, but go easy with it, it's got loads of power and does what you tell it to do.
To be honest I have a CX2 at the store and I fly it round in there, in and out of the racks.
the cx2 no matter how much you tweak it has a tendancey to drift left or right on the tail.
About half way through the my second flight (this one) I trimmed a little right into the the right stick but found after I landed that I had knocked it a little left from the factory settings.... ooops
Tail is fine, but that thumb is thinking for on it's own due to my Blade CX2 which is always drifting. Gyro in the Blade 400 works great. I am still flying it as it came out of the box and am not messing with it.
I will be taking it down to my store to fly over the next few days might not be able to video it there but I need to play with it it's been 2 days now since I flew it and am itching to get the thing back up in the air.
Seems more stable then your first flight did you tweak anything ? I got a cx2 and just to hover and do simple forward stuff is it alot different ? Does the tail stay put and do you just do small corrections with the right sticks? Lenny..........
Really enjoyed watchin this vid. I vote thumbs up

Yes wife has camera on tripod and I have loosend it off 3 times now I think I might have to loosen her arm off a bit now.
I have been flying in some nasty winds to get the reaction times a bit better.
It's been inverted about 7 or 8 times now.
video will be here soon as soon as the wife has finished her Camera class ! LOL

Thanks.
I took it out to our local flying field on the weekend and did a roll and a loop.
I Didn't crash but it came close so I am backing it off a step, I need to do more hovering and forward flight before I get into that stuff....

I have flown the cx-2 and fell ready for the 400. lots of sim time too.... did you set it up or just fly it out of the box?
Graybunch 4 years ago
I just went with it out of the box.
you can set expo up on it to make it a bit softer on to sticks.
rogieee 4 years ago
Well what sim ya using? if Realflight send me a vid :D and anyways flying a co-axle is WAY different then flying a Proper helo(thats in a nice way)

So if were good at the Blade cx2 then were okay with the Blade 400 3D? That is pretty good to hear.
KoopmanG 4 years ago
If your very good with the CX/CX2 then you can jump on the next learning curve.
Go easy though it's like stating all over again.

Alrighty, thanks.

I have some time on REALFLIGHT g3.5 and G4 but by a long way my real life learning is with the blade CX and CX2 and AXE E-Z.
Have you flown a heli B-4? eg axe e-z or balde cx/cx2? if not get one and learn it.
If you have a sim and can fly a 3D heli on there you will need to know it's twice as hard in real life.
Let me know how you go!
rogieee 4 years ago
Im looking to buy this heli in a few weeks. Your 2nd flight was alot better.....had you been practicing on a sim?

Resect that thing and it will work for you.
Thanks for watching.

How stable is the tail? Do you need to correct at all?
If the gyro is tuned correctly it should keep its heading when there is no tail input.

Tail is Solid....

Hi Lenny.
No I dodn't change anything.
I messed about in ground effect for a while and got to know it a bit better.
The only way I can explain the right stick movements is as follows....
Imagine that old trick your dad might have shown you, the one where he balances a broom on his open hand, (That's the cx and the cx2)
Now balance a 12 inch ruler on your open hand, thats the Blade 400. (Try it your see what I mean.)
