  • wow I went through this too...this wasn't as painful as the day after surgery...Everybody who had a torn ACL or had a surgery visit my channel and take a look on my 6 months after ACL surgery INSPIRATIONAL VIDEO I just finished.I hope at least 1 person reads this.Thumbs up so everybody can see it! Thank you

  • Whats ACL?

  • @WhatsDog : that is a very good question! :).... It is the Anterior Cruciate Ligament.

  • @LutfenMANTIKLIolalim Ohh....My friend had this done just a few days ago... Thanks for telling me:)

  • 3 more hourz!!!!

  • 5 days after the surgery, i already got rid of the crutches and the brace, i walk like this guy does now , i feel lucky cause its been only 5 days after i got the surgery done...

  • man - I'm worried. 5 Days ago I had an ACL done with miniscus repair (bucket tairs) on both miniscal ligaments. Straight after op I could pretty mich get my knee flat. Now I can get it to extend to almost the same as my good leg. Also it bends to about 135 degrees.. already. I was able to bear weight a few hours after op and am finding crutches pretty pointless. I can walk around.. pretty slowly, but I can walk. Strange to be worried about a seemingly fast recovery. But this is immediate!

  • @JaguarEarlobe I had an ACL with a miniscus repair just like you did, I had mine done on friday and now being monday i've only just starting using crutches, the first day or 2 was painful for me to even walk on crutches. I guess it's just how your body reacts to these kinds of things.

  • @AProperNoob - I guess. I shouldn't speak too soon though... dont want to tempt fate. I called Doc about it and apparently the surgeon I had is renowned for his good work, a few people have called up about why they arent more disaabled after. Strange. Sounds like I was lucky. And free too - Good old NHS!!

  • @AProperNoob - I hope the pain dies down quick for you. Get those excercises going.

  • @JaguarEarlobe

Same surgery, body is responding the same as jos you describe. The progress that I've shown has been such a relief. This is my third day and I can slowly walk. My biggest problem is lifting my leg while on my back. It's all kinda exciting so far.

  • The rehab protocol when you have a mensicus repair or multiple ligament surgery is quite different. This patient had a straightup ACL only, bone patella tendon bone autograft.

  • @bergvalza its depends on the extent of someones injury like im on crutches for 3 weeks and have to use a wheelchair cos my injuries were quite severe, im 15 aswell

  • im not aloud to put any weight on for 3 weeks iv got crutches and a wheelchair iv had acl reconstruction and meniscus repair, my meniscus was the worst it torn in half and moved into a place in my knee where it wasnt ment to be, but iv already slipped up and landed on my knee it was very painful. its to my right knee also

  • i didnt have staples i had sutures and 2 stitches. 3 weeks crutches and walkin 4/5 weeks jogging

  • @TheXavierLee dont worry dude, everyones different and depends on other factors such as meniscus damage and previous conditioning before the surgery.

  • flattening out of the knee was probably the worse pain during physical therapy... i was on crutches for only one week after surgery.

  • Why some people need to be on crutches for 3-4 weeks after surgery but this guy is walking on day 12?

  • @bergvalza i was walkin no crutches 7 days after surgery with a little limp
